Donald Trump

Yes. Hence my regular focus on this as a “revenge on all who’ve wronged us”, “own the libs” vote. But per some comments from others, it’s obviously more than that too. My fear is that folks who supported him never realiz(s)e — let alone admit — that they made a mistake. And then they make worse ones next time. And every time.
Okay, this applies to the people who voted for him 2 or 3 times. The "They wronged us. Own the libs etc" vote. Fine!

What about the people who did not vote for him the first 2 times...Some even voting for the current President or Hillary the first 2 go around...

What is the motivating factor for the 5-10 million who didn't vote for him the first 2 go around. But did this time.... Surely, those people "didn't make a mistake" seeing as they didn't vote for him before. What motivated those people?

Examine that.

Was reading that lots of MAGA fans were all behind getting rid of Obamacare (purely because of the name) but didnt realise it was the same thing as the ACA that they're all getting benefit from. Now theyre panicking
Ah! More of the stupid voters :)

So its not true? Are you saying none of the people that voted for trump are stupid? I would wager stupid people voted for both candidates. Doesnt mean everyone that voted for Trump is stupid, but you know that.

Sure. Anyone can be stupid depending on how you define stupid people. IQ? Voting against their interests? Uninformed? Misinformed? Disagrees with what I think is the informed view?

Of course anyone can be stupid. But the tenor of your post is about how stupid Trump voters are. It's not just your post, it's the overacting theme of this and the Politics thread.
They didn't do what we wanted. They must be stupid. Let's chronicle how stupid they are.

Any reasons why, dodgy as fuck perhaps?

Not really.

I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback - and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I'll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Trump's DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1. I remain fully committed to see that Donald J. Trump is the most successful President in history. I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice and I'm certain he will Save America.

The ethics committee were split 5-5 on party lines on releasing the report (unsurprisingly).

he's had a fun couple of weeks though - elected to the House, resigns to dodge the report, got nominated for AG, withdrew from the nomination.

Next stop - senator for Florida by appointment from de Santis when Rubio becomes Secretary of State?!

I also saw that the House could refuse to accept his resignation (hilariously) but that would surely provoke the ethics report being published.

Trump apparently tweeted at the weekend:
"Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner"

McConnell then said there won't be, Rick Scott said yes there will...
