We used to go in religiously on a Sunday night. That prick from 'N-Trance' would go in and dance like in one of his video's. Bizarrely we used to go in, pissed up and huddle on the dance floor shouting 'moss side, moss side', insinuating thats where we are from and not to mess with us. We all lived in North Manc! The things we do as nippers!

Scruples as well in Oldham was a mental place!!
That and Afrika's died a death after Tokyo Project opened
Had some good nights out in Oldham

Yeah Scruples! I have a mars bar on my back because of that place. A Saturday for us used to be meet up in the local at 11, go snooker for the afternoon then go home, get ready and meet up ready to go Oldham. The 'get ready' bit was basically take as many drugs as possible before the taxi came. This one time I had 'base', which completely fucked my head up. Anyway I went into Scruples all guns blazing, caused a bit of trouble and got thrown out of the back door by the bouncers. The problem with that was that the door they threw me out of was 6 foot up off the floor, and beneath that was all the empties! I landed on the empties - thus providing myself with a permanent reminder never to do base again! Happy days they were.

Mrs P went to Oldham last Friday for our mates 30th, she's never been before but said it was really good, if not a bit chavtastic. I prefer a nice bar in the NQ these days or just the plain old local. Leave 'base', scruples and the like to the pups.

Top cat club,Amber club and moonraker in town were fun if liked a bit of excitement on youre night out.

Froggys in Oldham was the first club I went to. Dreadful. Utterly, utterly, awful.

Tudor Lodge, Victoria Ave East near The Gardeners Arms. Full of Blackley and Moston nutters. You needed eyes in the back of your head in there.
Shillelagh Club , bottom of Wood St in Middleton. Friday night was interesting. Especially being a Blackley lad in there..haha.
Rotters, Monday night all nighters...''..dance floor 1 , dance floor 1..'' (DJ on the mic telling the bouncers where it was kicking off)
Special mention for Chamber House near Heywood and Butterflies in Oldham. Coming from Blackley in the 80's never went down to well with 'the locals' where ever we went ..haha.
Thank fuck when E's came out , and chilled everyone out a bit.

The Blue Waterfall was a right dive.
Quaffers was my local for about 5 yrs.
But my 1st club was Fagins.

Henri Afrikas in Oldham was a proper dive. remember some pikey bird who looked like a bloke mithering one of my mates one night. After a bit she was getting annoying so we started to wind her up saying she was a tranny.

My jaw nearly hit the floor when she pulled her skirt up and knickers down, pointed to her muff and said "does that look like a bloke"

Also spent a lot of time in Oldham in Over The Rainbow, Dreamers and Montys. Dreamers was a proper shit hole with psychopath bouncers, but it was class.

Had a two or three year spell in the late 80's when I'd be in Scandals in Royton every week
