"Location: PERTH AUSTRALIA" Are you actuall a true fan? Or just started supporting s when we got bought?

Whilst I agree with the first part of your comment, the second part makes you just look like a dick. If you start that shit with everyone on here that has a location other than Manchester you'r going to get an earfull. Some of us move.

As for the o.p, I would prefer to see us playing in the champs, just because of the higher calibre of opponents but would definately rather us be in a european comp of some sort than not.

Too many great memories of that competion to turn our noses up at it. Let's face it we had some great times last season which is primarily what being a football fan is all about. I'd love Champions League and be disappointed if we miss out, but the Europa league and the prospect of some more trips abroad would be a fantastic consolation. With our money a tired squad shouldn't be a problem.

Surely we've got to give Europe a chance. Its a rubbish competition right up to the later stages, but if/when we were to get to the semis i for one would definitely be interested. It won't matter cos manchester's going to beat noth london this w/e and we'll get 4th.

BTW, St George's day today, don't forget to back the bid.

I presume the people that arent arsed about the Europa League dont bother going to European aways? If they had gone to any last year which were some of my best away trips ever and will stay with me for the rest of my life, they would be excited about any European competition. We have got the squad for it, as far as Im concerned to more we are in, the more we have a chance of winning.

So now it's 'arrogance' to want to avoid a piss poor competition that is designed to keep the second tier teams from challenging the Top 4. Well call me arrogant.

I'm old enough to remember when 'being in Europe' actually meant you'd either finished in the top three or won a cup. Yes, just like the Champions League now. That was when the UEFA Cup had some prestige. Now it's called the 'Europa League' and it's nothing but a mickey mouse cup for mid-table sides.

I'm not happy with standing side by side with the Evertons and Fulhams of this world, content with never challenging for serious honours and happy with 'glory' nights playing Lokomotiv Plovdiv. So call me arrogant.

The only argument some of you have against any of us saying we shouldn't want to be in the Europa League (and make no mistake, our owners don't give a flying fuck about that competition, so call them arrogant too) is that it's a good excuse for a piss up with your mates. Well, I've got mates and I can have a piss up with them every weekend. I'd rather see City in a real European competition, thank you. And if we can't get into the Champions League, I don't want us pissing about in a third rate cup that's expressly designed to make sure we never do get in the Champions League.

the europa league has quality teams in it every year! juve, hamburg, atletico madrid, and they seem to want to play in it. dont delude yourself into thinking we are too good for the europa league. plus, this is more games to rotate our large squad so none of them get restless due to lack of games.

Out of curiosity, did you go to any of the last European away games?

Supported City for 40yrs, used to go to the games when i was a kid. From
Doncaster, told me mum and dad i was going to me mates cos i new they
wouldnt let me go. Not being naive, just think we will have a better chance
of finishing in the top 4. next year it want be just the so called top 4 clubs to
contend with, villa spurs everton and even birmingham will all think they will have a chance.

Just because peaple have a different point of view then yours doesnt give people the right to get abusive. Just my opinion. City 4 ever.
