Don't let Bayern bring a drum

Have to agree, even without a drum, the Bayern fans/Ultras were good.

We were good when we got going after the goals, but in-between we were quiet.

Just an observation. We don’t have longevity home chanting like the European fans do, bar the away games, where our away support is superb.

Tonight showed the Ultras can and do sing without a drum. And we can match them and be louder than them when City score and when CIty are on top. We just need to minimise the quiet periods throughout the match and get behind the team more during those quiet periods of the match.

Did I go to the wrong fucking game tonight? Bollocks, how the fuck did I do that? So my sore throat and lost voice is for nothing then?

But seriously, our support was fucking brilliant tonight. There were a couple of 5 minute spells where it was quiet but overall it was top notch.

if it was a free for all and we got respect off varies authorities when we go abroad, i would say bring your drums and flags, lets get 50k city fans to keep you quiet and our player will shut you up slipping the third goal in !

But what respect do we get when we travel to other stadiums, very little and most countries do anything to keep us quiet.

We are to soft with travelling fans, one game springs to mind a couple of years ago when the travelling fans in a UCL game where smoking and drinking beer in the seats, security did nothing.

No you didn’t. Neither did I. I’m honest. When Bayern were on top for parts of the game our support was quiet and nervous. When the goals went in, especially in the 2nd half, and when City were on top winning the majority of the challenges and tackles, our support was great. The Bayern fans displaying the 2 banners also got the City fans going. Tonight we matched the Bayern fans/Ultras and bettered them for the most part. Seeing their Ultras seeing their arses after the 3rd went in was funny. :-)

I irrationally find German supporter behaviour to be very inauthentic. It obviously isn't, but the lack of spontaneity just seems so odd. It's like they're competing with the other fans more than backing their team.

Most of them hardly even watch the game properly. There's no spontaneous applause when one of their players does something good, no roar when they have a chance of scoring, I also find their mindset and lack of emotion very odd.

Can I correct you? Looking down from the mighty East stand, I counted 4 of the wankers, backs to the pitch, leading their drone, while they all clapped along, or held their scarves up in unison.

Bloody awful, at least our fans react to the crowd and what's happening on the pitch, not boring pre-planned dronage.

Loved it when they lost the plot after the 2nd goal and they showed their lack of class with the Mansour Out banner, they seem to think they can look down on all other European Teams, without realising they were successful for years because they were the richest club in Germany.

They got truly battered on the pitch tonight, it was wonderful to watch.
