Don't let Bayern bring a drum

This thread just proves how good a drum is and why we should have one.

This first leg is a huge game for us, we need our singing sections singing in unison.

We need to give the lads a proper home advantage and scare the shit out of Bayern, because that's what they're gonna do to us when we go there.

So for the love of god, don't let them bring their drum in. We need every possible advantage we can give ourselves to take a big lead with us back to Germany.
Absolutely brilliant suggestion- well done @EastMidlandsBlue

This made a difference tonight, while their fans were still superb in the noise stakes, we had a chance and gave easily as good as we got.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better without their drum.

Their shit songs even sounded quite good without the incessant twatting of the drum. I nearly dissolved from cringing at their chant leaders though, they were only missing a miniskirt and some pom-poms, pathetic cunts.

You can’t beat our atmosphere when we get going and start giving it to the away fans like the second half tonight and their fans having hissy fits because we dare sing at them and start pushing the police and almost start crying haha… will be lively in München next week!

Have to agree, even without a drum, the Bayern fans/Ultras were good.

We were good when we got going after the goals, but in-between we were quiet.

Just an observation. We don’t have longevity home chanting like the European fans do, bar the away games, where our away support is superb.

Tonight showed the Ultras can and do sing without a drum. And we can match them and be louder than them when City score and when CIty are on top. We just need to minimise the quiet periods throughout the match and get behind the team more during those quiet periods of the match.

Fair play to city for preventing this happening. With their drum they would have completely drowned us out tonoght. We were actually able to respond and be heard enough for a song to get going, we normally have to simply stay quiet and wait for a break to get anything going over the booming drum and 3k choir boys.

This has to be the norm from now on, we want every possible home advantage, a loud as fuck drum kills us, get them banned.

Somebody dropped a bollock however allowing their little signs in and the lack of security in their end when it kicked off after our second was another piss take, the amount of stuff that got launched that will go completely unpunished was pathetic but one step at a time well done city on this.

To be fair their sign took us up a gear

Gotta be honest, I missed it entirely first time and I sit right next to the barrier, only actually saw it later when they turned it to face thr south stand. it probably did help up the volume with the sheikh mansour my lord rendition but i think the game was turning at that point anyway and the crowd was reacting more to that.

Cheers pal, they were actually a lot better than I thought they'd be without a drum so fair play to them.

But the difference was very obvious tonight, this should be the new norm from now on.

Just realised no drum. Thank the lord. I enjoyed the football obviously but the noise was real rather than an evening at line dancing. They really scared me by taking the tarpaulin off the seats too....
