I genuinely believe we will go there, everyone will be a lot sharper and I can see us scoring 1 or 2, as their defence can be opened up.....and then we'll see what Dortmund are made of. Yes I would have liked 2-0 but I'm far from unhappy. Dortmund had a go and scored a fine goal, but we still showed some fight when we weren't brilliant - and you need that sometimes.

we are top scorers but everyone else in this league have been absolute shit this year.
 
Would be a real sickener to lose 0-1 in Dortmund now, so it'll be a relief when (if?) we score out there and avoid that fate. I'm sure we will.

Then again, I thought we'd beat Monaco & Spurs.

Yup. I don't think we will play as poorly in the 2nd leg. 2-1 is a great result for us when we haven't really played that well.

In prior years that would have probably been 2-2 or even 2-3...
 
Very nervy particularly at the back. Lucky with the bellingham non goal. The pitch looks shit and I think it impacts our play. We will play better in dortmund and WE WILL SCORE. The home leg of a possible semi is the game I fear most

Pep was excellent imo.

Kept wonderboy pretty quiet and changed it by bringing Jesus on at the right time and having him press their tiring back four.

I'm so proud of that performance. A proper top level performance against a very good opponent at the very top level.

Kev would have been better there as he’d have played his normal game in the gaps. I agree about Dinho too, he’s just a bit quicker in the mind and doesn’t get caught in possession as easily as Rodders. I think point was proved about Gundo too that it’s no good playing him deeper with Rodders, they are just both too slow, he needs to be getting in the box or not be in the side. I’d leave Gundo out in the second leg.

For me, I‘d play Dinho, Kev and Bernie in midfield. Then Jesus, Phil and Raz front 3.

When I think of what Gundo does, the words 'too slow' don't spring to mind. Pace looks decent to me. I've said all along to those who sit near me in the North Stand that he's the perfect Pep player - short passes, can beat a player, win the ball and score.
 
What's going on with the pitch? Looked really bad tonight. Not good for a team that plays like us.

Agreed. Not the first time either in recent months when he was out at left back he was really poor. I think the 4-1 win at home to Wolves they both played and Cancelo done nothing but give the ball away.
Only downside tonight from Kyle was the goal, At this level you can't switch off not even for a split second because as shown tonight you'll be punished other than that he had a really solid game but as much as I don't like saying it Walker can be incredible for 89 mins 59 seconds of a game but that one second he is prone to switching off and doing something silly.

Against the teams we play week in week out I agree, but not when it’s against the top sides.
