It wasn’t really a false 9 tonight as Bernie did actually play up top, and consequently wasn’t his fault he couldn’t impact the game. Kev would have been better there as he’d have played his normal game in the gaps. I agree about Dinho too, he’s just a bit quicker in the mind and doesn’t get caught in possession as easily as Rodders. I think point was proved about Gundo too that it’s no good playing him deeper with Rodders, they are just both too slow, he needs to be getting in the box or not be in the side. I’d leave Gundo out in the second leg.
For me, I‘d play Dinho, Kev and Bernie in midfield. Then Jesus, Phil and Raz front 3.
