Looking forward to this, keep Reus and Haaland quiet and we should be OK. Whilst Dortmund are better than Gladbach their recent form is not great and defensively they are vulnerable.

Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Cancelo
Rodri Gundogan Bernardo
Sterling KDB Foden
Reus, Haaland, Guerreiro and Reyna/Hazard. They're going to try to overload our right flank and they'll all pop up there simultaneously at times so whoever plays in midfield and wide on that side will need to track them and help out Walker and the centre half.

I am nervous about this game for a few reasons.

1. Will City turn up?
2. League form means nothing in these games.
3. Haaland is a dangerous player.
4. Bent ref and dodgy Uefa will be involved.
5. Pep not tinkering with the side.

A lot of variables to consider.
Conservative 2-1 win with a few decision favouring Dortmund. Pen nailed on.

I know it's basic but just as a reminder:
clean sheet is absolutely key. (Now we have developed some routine in that during the season.)
No more CL away rule trouble
EDIT: ... anymore please after painful experience vs Monaco and spurs. Rule still being in place.

Even a 1-0 would be a very good result. 2-0 be great.

Wait, have I missed something?

Yes - away goals still count in the Champions League and Europa League knockout games, even if one or both legs happens to be played at a neutral stadium. The away goals rule only apply in two-legged knockout ties.

I think he might have been suggesting we are now very good at keeping clean sheets, not that the rule has changed. Of course, he might not have been.....

i think he's saying we dont want any more trouble with conceding away goals. probably in reference to spurs and monaco games.

I.e. keep a home clean sheet would be a terrific start
