If Pep does not overthink this duel you should win this match easily tonight.

About the tactics... Do not think that they will play openly or are pressing that much - it is not the team from Klopp anymore. They probably will park the bus.

Slow centre halves and absolutely atrocious full backs - our wingers gonna create lots of chances.

I hope for once at this stage Pep doesn’t try something new to stop the opponent and just goes with his best side from the last few months.

For me that would be the false 9 set up, and make sure KDB, Foden, Bernardo, Cancelo and Gundo are all out there. Get a goal or two and keep BVB out and I’d be happy.

They have a lot of similarities in style to Leicester and we dominated them with the above system. Also the same set-up Bayern slap them about with.

Rodri to win the ball back as often as he does but also Dinho(over Gundo) to stop the quick counters with his defensive knack of being in the right place coupled with being a master of the dark arts.

Mendy to do same job as vs Lei of hugging the touchline, allowing Sterling freedom to come inside and try things out.
Walker over Cancelo for defensive pace vs counter.
Mahrez = goal threat, Bernie = workrate..Foden = both.
Jesus to give their dodgy defence the wobbles with his pressing.

I’d agree wholeheartedly (I’d do exactly that if it were my call).
But it can’t happen because Pep will surely rotate at least 4 players if not more eh?

EDERSON
CANCELO
STONES
DIAS
ZINCHENKO
RODRI
BERNARDO
GUNDOGAN
MAHREZ/STERLING
DE BRUYNE
FODEN

I’m not too fussed whether it’s Mahrez or Sterling, I think either can hurt them.

GK - Ederson
RB - Walker
CB - Dias
CB - Stones
LB - Cancelo
DM - Rodri
CM - Bernardo
CM - Gundogan
RW - Mahrez
LW - Foden
F9 - De Bruyne

Maybe make a case for Mahrez on the bench, Phil to the right and Sterling on the left but I think this will be the team, dont think he'll play Zinchenko or Mendy at left back, nor do I think he'll have Dias, Stones and Laporte in the same team
