Any decent pics or videos from Dortmund?

I got quite a few. Sadly I didn't manage to get a vid of the Dortmund fans singing Christmas songs at the end as that was awesome but I did manage to get a video of lots of pissed City fans singing the Yaya/Kolo song completely out of tune to the music playing!!

The Germans were absolutely brilliant. Really friendly and humorous even including the train conductors and airport immigration officials who were giving us banter. The local DJ in the bar in Dusseldorf (next to the mosher bar) on the main strip was playing English/City music all night which led to a great rendition of nah nah nah City (hey jude). Was anyone else in there? Dortmund's version of City square was playing City themed music too. Brilliant.

20 mins from leaving the ground to being in the City Centre really does show us up in the UK. I suspect the metro will be a bit less user friendly.

8 of us did Flybe 0700 Manchester to Duss Monday morning and back Weds afternoon on the 1620 flight. Stayed at the Ibis City near the station and worked out brilliant. Let's hope we get a German team again next year. I hope Dortmund win it.

Yeah, apart from the 90 minutes it was a superb away trip, with the amount of people wandering around looking for the "big christmas tree" and it was worth seeing, the Dortmund fans were top class, sitting in one of their bars before the game having a bit of a chat about all things football, they then escorted us to the ground, stopping off to get more beers, no segregation on the concourses, loads of eating establishments, enough places to get a drink and not being kept in after the game, but they did not have to arrange for a train to break down just to make us feel at home.

(p.s. if any blues wags want to go to see the christmas markets, they would be well worth visiting even if just for the lights and decorations, but drive, the excess baggage on any flight back home would be costly.

You're the one I really, really love

Quality quality trip, stood on the very back row, banging on the glass, after i decided to move from my seat to stand with the Blue alliance and have a singsong at half time. I had no voice for all of today, to add to my banging hangover and an 11 hour drive home

Just got home myself...great trip, really enjoyed it...horrific landing at Leeds tho...up/down and side to side for ten mins![/quote]

thought it wasnt too bad through the clouds coming back, but going!! That snow and fog coming into Duss! Didnt see land till we had almost landed.

-- Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:44 pm --

Another new one

This is brilliant, the Toures are getting all our best song while everyone else has to make do with Sloop John B!
