Even then, why agree to a McKennie swap? Just ask for £40m instead and buy a better player in July.

same as normal on paper, its still two transfers in the books.

Seems to be. My guess is that whatever the transfer is booked as in Villa’s accounts, we’ll get 20%, so if the players are valued at £15m and the whole transfer is booked at £35m, then we’d get 20% of £20m, so £4m, for example.
