How is it a fuck up? Denied the work permit but you think we should have kept him around as an unpaid club mascot or something? It's still a fuck up.
Helmet alertIt's still a fuck up.
Another fuck up by our recruitment panel. Letting him go because he was supposedly not good enough and now we want to bring him back for 50 mil.
@Dipsis_LTU_MC isn't wrong. We couldn’t get a work permit as you probably well know but enjoy the fishing
I think it was slightly more objective and had something to do with the relative position of his wages in the squad.Word was that he would not greatly improve City, and may be a squad player, but could make a difference for Villa, and probably be a starter, so they were allowed to sign and play him.
That’s that “fairness” and “equal treatment” at work in the PL again!
If someone is allowed to work in this country, they should be able to play for whomever, not be dictated to by numpties!
Dipshit won't be aware of that though. Plus, he's still wrong.@Dipsis_LTU_MC isn't wrong.
We could have bought him back for £25m but didn't take the option. This from 3 years ago.
"Manchester City are reportedly not interested in triggering the £25 million buy-back clause in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz’ contract this summer, but will keep a keen eye on his development, according to Martin Blackburn in the Sun"
Yeah, him being on the verge of the NT call up, and being two years later etc on his game time, wage, age profile etc helped push up over the calc for WP.I think it was slightly more objective and had something to do with the relative position of his wages in the squad.
Still not the best way of determining how much of a star you are signing I agree.
Not triggering a buy back clause and failing to retain a player when we couldn't are rather different problems.@Dipsis_LTU_MC isn't wrong.

I think you’re off track. We couldn’t get a work permit so had no option.Another fuck up by our recruitment panel. Letting him go because he was supposedly not good enough and now we want to bring him back for 50 mil.
Think we were doing pretty well around that time???? And had a great squad@Dipsis_LTU_MC isn't wrong.
