We let him go because we couldn't get the visa or work permit for him if I remember correctly.

Word was that he would not greatly improve City, and may be a squad player, but could make a difference for Villa, and probably be a starter, so they were allowed to sign and play him.

That’s that “fairness” and “equal treatment” at work in the PL again!

If someone is allowed to work in this country, they should be able to play for whomever, not be dictated to by numpties!
