I thought he was excellent at Villa for the last couple of seasons. Apparently, it’s not worked out at Juventus and they are looking to get rid. He probably won’t be too expensive and a good back up to Rodri when he’s back.

No harm in seeing can we get him in on loan at new year

Injury prone i believe. He's only just starting playing after two months out and Juve haven't included him in the Coppa Italia squad.
If he stays fit and is available I'd take him.

Always puzzled me. He couldn't get a permit at our place. So got one at Villa. We are in the same country, so surely same rules apply. Don't they?.

Lots of factors. Price in comparison to other transfers the club has made. Also wages.
At Villa he was going to be one of their 'higher' earners; that counts positively to a work permit as it shows he will be a 'key' player.

Depends on the issue, the write up on the article is not great look.

Would have the benefit of increasing attendances at the women's games when his missus starts playing for city women.

Assuming he is fit would make sense on a loan in January IF we can't bring in a top target, maybe with an option to buy. Not sure if this would fly with Juventus though.
