MOTD goes to Itv next season it's going to be horrible they just don't do football coverage properly

completely ruined the Fa cup already for me, they present it as if it's an episode of Loose Women

It's so fucking shit that it might force me to go to a match or two

The problem is they rely on adverts to pay. Adverts rely on viewers - viewers would prefer to watch the top 4.

Thats why the days of non league teams in FA cup are a thing of the past.

Remember the premiership show they had - where City were on last for 30secs almost every week.

Be afraid

The one bright spot; no more Lineker or Lawrenson! To counter that, no more Adrian Chiles on sunday nights (I really rate him).

For fucks sake no MOTD on BBC next year? That means we've got to watch Andy fuckin Townsend and Robbie Earle and that twat Matt Smith or whatever his name is talking bollocks about the highlights with them getting on a noname footballer as a guest who will also talk shite. Why couldn't BBC bid more to get MOTD down for the next few years.

I'm fairly sure this is wrong, the following is a quote from June 2006

The BBC has kept hold of the rights to air Premier League highlights, despite a strong challenge from Five.

The three-year deal - beginning with the 2007/08 season - is worth £171.6 million, a rise of more than 60% on the previous, £105m contract.

The move ensures the future of Match of the Day on Saturday nights, Sunday evenings and applicable weekday evenings.

The rights from 2010/1 will be decided in the next few months - last time Five came closer than ITV to beating the BBC, so I guess they will challenge again.

The live games may be split 3 ways - ESPN are planning to bid and could take some of the six packages off Sky or Setanta.
