Blagged it in The Midland for the promotion party after the Blackburn game. Pretty much all of the players were there. Weaver, Kennedy and a few others went to a pub in Cheadle around midnight.
I spent most of the night with Horlock, Dickov, Weikens and their wives. All sound people. Took Horlock in the press club about 4am. Then back to his dads room with him and his brother where we got stuck into the mini bar.
Summerbee a few times. Best one was in Tenerife after a Masters football tournament. My mate got us tickets for a club called El Faro. It was basically ex players (Nayim, Marcus Gayle, Summerbee etc) and us 3 City fans. Finished in the early hours and we were all leathered.

had a top night with eric cantona and my pal who was a rugger player. it was just after his kung fu thing. we went from worsley into brambles in town. he was a nice lad tbh, i gave him lots of shit and he took it well.

Back in the late 60s I used to spend lunch times in the Dive Bar (Portland Bars @ Piccadilly hotel). Buzzer and Best would often call in for a pint and chat to anyone who spoke to them.
