Drinking on your own in a pub

Really enjoyed reading this thread.
I've thought about going for a quite pint before but always a bit worried I would attract the creepy/weirdo crowd to me. Any tips on deflecting those types from ruining my quite pint? I should add I'm a 20-something woman.

You're certainly in the right place if it's the creepy/weirdo demographic you're aiming for, although your location should deter all but the most determined and crazy posters.
Which is still probably half the forum.
Just go into the bar of your choice that serves decent beer, order one, then sit down and enjoy it.
Women should be able to do exactly the same as men here, and if anyone gives you unwanted attention, then politely but firmly make it clear that you are not looking for company.
If he doesn't take the hint, then a swift stiletto to the testicles usually gets the message across.
Unless they are a good looking multi millionaire who is hung like a horse, in which case you may let him buy you a drink.
Or a house.
Just be confident - you have as much right to be there as anyone else.

Is your local full of lumberjacks ?
If it is i cannot see a young woman being left alone for long, our young women dont have that problem unless they live in Glossop which is on a different planet to the rest of the known world !!

Il come with you and deflect all potential weirdos with my aura of manliness

Booked a week off work at the end of this month and spending my time in the Peak District. Got a few walks and mountain biking routes planned and looking forward to a good pint at the end of these treks!

lol. I don't normally wear stilettos, but I've kneed a few guys in that area before.
I think confidence is the key in this and maybe bringing something to read.

Sounds like heaven, a quiet pint after a long trek or bike ride

I love doing this but i tend to miss out the biking and walking bits

Yeah, apart from the trekking and the cycling bit, this is right up my street

I'd like to add my weight to this one too.
