If we are willing to pay 27m? for Milner, Id be willing to pay 30m for Drogba- arguably currently one of the best strikers in the world.
In fact, id rather have Drogba than the injury prone Torres.
You are willing to spend 20 or even 30 million on a player that possibly has 1 or 2 more years left at this level?
What a colossal waste of money.
By the way I don't think Milner is anywhere near worth 27m ... not even close, but at least he is a young, English player (homegrown quota)...
I'd rather save the 20m and spend it (plus some more) on Dzeko.
