for a season....if chelsea are having torres as no.1 striker next season we should take him off their hands- the guy,s still got it imo......

Too old to pay what Chelski will want. They wont sell to us now, and he'd go abroad now anyway........................

would be a brilliant signing, especially as chelsea play a similar system to ours, he would need no time to adapt
i can also see him moving abroad though

Drogba will either retire at Chelsea or go back to France, he's not a mercenary, he's one of Mourhino's untouchables after all.

You've also got to remember that Chelsea's offence is built around him and has been for a long time now - this is partly why Torres is taking time to adjust because they're very different strikers and the team isn't used to playing into space rather than playing to a player.

Do you really think rebuilding your offence around Drogba who is 33 in order to emulate his success at Chelsea is a good idea if only to last a few seasons? On top of this, if Drogba isn't the centre of attention for lack of a better phrase, he doesn't take it well. Sometimes thats a good thing as it fires him up on the bench, other times he gets moody and becomes useless. When he's in the mood though, he is truly unplayable.

I think tevez will leave in summer and we have 2 good promising strikers with dzeko and balo however i can't see either chipping in with the amount of goals Carlos does. I can't see either bagging 20 plus goals next season and there will be pressure on our strikers to score goals regularly. I really can't think of a better player to bring in for a couple of seasons who is still capable of topping the goalscorer chart and would take the pressure off and guide the other strikers. Drogba would be an awesome signing in my opinion.

-- Sun May 08, 2011 12:19 am --

I think tevez will leave in summer and we have 2 good promising strikers with dzeko and balo however i can't see either chipping in with the amount of goals Carlos does. If he is available, we need to get him, its as simple as that. Nobody actually knows what Carlos Tevez is doing at the end of the season, were all obviously hopeful he doesn't leave..

And just a small input, if we win the Cup on Saturday, we shouldn't let Carlos be the captain, Kompany is the worthy player to captain us to glory, if we win, let him lift it!

Chelsea wont sell, especially to us. Torres is suffering for the same reason as Dzeko & Balo - lack of ammo i.e. no wingers.
Buying Bale for £50m would go someway to solving our problems..................Drogba has had his day now tho.
