Drone over the East Stand

Here's his Notts County video

I think he's been a bit of a nob really - done properly with licenses and approval he could have made a packet....

I spotted it in the first half, it was hovering over the CB stand, pretty high, just assumed it was City or media flying it, disappeared from view after a couple of minutes. I did think if someone wanted to do something bad, this would be quite a clever idea, and before anyone has really given it enough thought.

I suspect (hope) now its happened at high profile games, the security people will be on to it and watching out for it at big gatherings pf people. I wasn't aware you needed a licence to fly one of these, I guess it must be over a certain altitude. Around a football stadium there are often police helicopters, and one of these mixing with a helicopter near a big crowd could get very messy, I know there wasn't one this weekend but that's not the point, and the person flying it wouldn't necessarily have known.

Provide each of the ballboys with shoulder launched surface-to-air missiles.

Anyone bringing down a drone gets a free pre-worn Martin Demichelis home shirt.

Alternatively bring Micah back from Florence and tell him it's a penalty shoot-out.

If you're any good at flying one, it'll be in the air and over the stadium well before anybody locates you.

Not sure what the radio range is, but I'd imagine half a mile is no issue, so that would be nearly a square mile to cover.... good luck with that. And there's no guarantee the pilot is actually where the drone took off from.

I can see this become quite a big issue very soon.

Rags are stuck outside the away end for a while in two weeks. Eggs. Drones(not that ****). Drop.

I think we need to embrace them.

My mate has one of these and I'm pretty sure he said the range of his was anything upto a mile. Either way, the authorities are going to Be hard pressed stopping them getting flown into football stadiums. In Saturdays instance the guy who flew it was sat in Asdas ca park. How do you police that?

In light of the incident earlier in the week at the Serbia match, the guy must be a complete idiot to have chosen this match to fly over. I've got a feeling they wil throw the book and make an example of him. And rightly so. Pleb.
