Drunk man denied boarding on Easyjet flight at Manchester Airport

Definitely a UK issue. In Asia, plenty of people get shitfaced and I've never seen a fish fight happen as a result. This relationship between alcohol and aggression is definitely a North European thing.

Anyway, well done to the staff member who punched him. I feel like society would be better if mouthy twats got punched more often. But it probably wouldn't.

I did enjoy the one recently of the tourist in Thailand getting decked.

But yeah, that's what happens in SE Asia. If you do something like this, it won't be one person who takes you on, be prepared to get beaten up by about 10 people often with weapons. It has a remarkable effect in terms of making sure everyone is polite.

They know how to scale things down in Asia.

The emotional intelligence of a maggoty cat turd

Yes a man child who's never been told no and who has bullied and blustered his way through life with a sense of entitlement. Like the ground worker briefly did, one day he'll get a cold hard dose of painful reality.

I feel for all cabin crew in this situation. Compared to traincrew they cant boot anyone off when they reach altitude.

There needs to be stronger penalties applied like high fines and passports withdrawn. Is it a UK culture issue? I've travelled on various airlines between various countries but only realised the cuntiness on UK holiday flights.
My mrs did the night flight Ibiza for ten years. When she first started it was a nightmare but as she went 'up the ladder' and became the boss on the plane she took no shit off the kids and told them straight. She would limit the drinks as well.

The UK disease of needing to get pissed at anytime of the day, I'd like to see prison sentences for this kind of thing. Especially if they're already in the air. We need to start coming down hard on ASB, what kind of country do we want to live in?

I've just seen the footage and what an absolute fucking cretin. If they were stopping him from flying how did he get that far? Surely he should have been stopped earlier? Well done to the ground crew bloke who gave him a slap, he wasn't so mouthy then. Instead realising he'd met his match and knowing the ground crew bloke had been pulled away, like a typical bully he then started to pick on what I bet he thought was an easy target in the queue. A few blokes should have just jumped on the fucker and pinned him down until the police arrived.
Check in staff should have alerted security and got this cretin dealt with before he got anywhere near the aircraft.

About time they had enforced breathalyser before boarding.

Sure, it would slow things down, but the airport would be a much better experience without all the groups of drinkers hanging around.

Obviously it will never happen because of the amount of money it brings in.

I strongly disagree.

It’s perfectly possible to get a bit pissed in the airport to kick off your holiday, and not turn into a knobhead.

I’m firmly of the view that people who act like thuggish dickheads when drunk are probably like that when sober.

Going on holiday should be enough in itself. I'm sure that most people will disagree but I think the whole culture of drinking before boarding a flight is part of the problem.

the problem with drinking in an airport is much the same as excessive drinking anywhere in that for the most part when you're drinking you yourself dont think you are being a loud obnoxious dickhead you think you're hilarious, in a pub you can just leave, in an airport everyone has to suffer.

there is something about airports that turns sane, rational people into raving lunatics, one example of this is the incessant need to all crowd around the boarding gate like the plane is gonna leave without you if you're not first on.

I’m always last on & last off…….at 71 no need to rush anywhere anymore

no need to rush at any point in an airport and no need to jump to your feet as soon as the plane comes to a halt, i know everyone is keen to start their holiday but that extra 10 minutes really aint gonna make a difference.
