I stayed there in 2008 with my mate for 4 nights. Managed to get flights for £20 return each and the hotel for about £30 a night. Buses/Taxis to and from the airport from outside and it's on the main road via buses into the town centre about 10/15 mins away.

Does it have to be Dublin or do you just fancy a trip to Ireland? If the latter, Cork, Galway, Westport, Kerry are better cities imo.

Take this advice mate, fly to Knock, hire a car for a couple of days and do Galway &
Westport. What it costs you for the car you will save from being ripped off in Dublin.
With all due respect to any Blues who live in Dub.

Have a look at the Generator hostel for a hostel. It has it's own bar which is cool, used to be a hotel. Abigails is the next best hostel.
Look at tripadvisor for hotels.
Temple Bar is a shithole full of english youngsters who can't hold their drink. What to ye teach them over there? The english ole dolls are ok ... the blokes a disaster ... not trying to wind ye up just saying ... stay south of Dame St - it is where you will find us locals.

Cork/Galway ARE recommended (and preferred by me) for a weekend away ... cheaper too. Cork in particular.
