My other option is just to cancel and buy a sim for £12.99 which would give me 'all i can eat' data, 5000 texts and 200 minutes, which would suit me fine, but i'd be stuck with the 4s, which in truth, is doing my head in a bit now due to the battery being a bit naff.
So any ideas on what upgrade to go for?

Ok after reading and watching various reviews this is my take on this years phones...
1, It is between the z2 and m8
2, The z2 has superior imaging tech and results however takes longer to save images running certain filters, still better images though.
3, m8 has slightly better speakers
4, z2 has a more minimalist interface
5, z2 has best screen
Since i can't compromise on pics i have to get the z2 it also appeals to my better sense of style than you garish htc users :p

Because I use my phone as a phone I got a Motorola G.
It's blooming great. Apart from a small camera issue...i.e it's a bit shite.

Yeah. Utorrent is on Google play for free. All torrent sites are available via proxy.

No I didn't know that there were different size sims.
Don't see the need to change the size of sim, the phone is big enough to have my old sim but the part to hold it is smaller than all the other phones I've ever had.

I would always be left with the nagging knowledge my pics will be not as good as my mate taking the same cool image.
The rest is to close to call and down to personal preference imo.
z2 comes with the nice noise cancelling headphones of which you will use more than the speakers.
In day to day usage i know i will be very happy with the z2.
Nice one ono, it is a slick phone and tbh you couldn't go wrong with either.

From what i was reading, it seems you can't go wrong with either. They're both mint....apparently. We'll see anyway. Fingers crossed.

I was same with new HTC M8 old sim didn't fit even though the girl in shop took it out of old phone, looked and says oh yea that will fit. Had to ring shop after I got home and go to shop next day to collect new sim

You guys do realise that leaving it on charge / using it whilst it's on charge is what is killing the batteries?? Figured that out with my old phone, battered the drag racing game on it whilst it was charging and the battery was dead in a year. Replacement was only a fiver. It'd go from 99% to 10% almost instantly.
The good thing is that the battery can be easily replaced on the Samsungs. When I upgraded I bought a separate portable battery charger and two spare batteries for a galaxy S4, one in use, one fully charged, one charging. Had it almost a year now and a full charge with medium usage lasts about two days. I've been using a full charge since 5am today and it's still on 60%, that includes about 4 hours of internet and about 4 hours of music, plus 45 mins of calls and about an hour of games and YouTube. I don't run the battery down to 0 either if I can help it, apparently that doesn't help the battery last long term. Also the brightness of the screen, have it just bright enough, high brightness will drain the battery faster.
