Reduced to a footnote? What a sad bitter little man, Real and Barca have achieved that feat only once in their entire histories(can anyone confirm if Real were the first in Spanish topflight football or not?) and they are both immensely proud of it.

It's also worth noting City did this in a PL era with a top 6, a pl from top to bottom with more money, top foreign managers, top players, diversity in tactics(90-00s hoofball/long ball PL aside from a few), fitter-healthier players... AND without a Messi or Ronaldo.

Is he not saying that our achievement has been brushed under the carpet?
Nope he's saying it's not big deal by the looks of it, as in: "Yeah well Real Madrid did this along with lots of other stuff but that was reduced to a footnote"
By "triple liga, european and world champions" I take it he is talking about the players in that team rather than team as they didn't win any european cup or club world cup that year.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011–12_Real_Madrid_C.F._season

The team won a record 32nd La Liga title and finished the season with a number of records including 100 points in a single season, a record 121 goals scored and goal difference of +89, and a record 16 away wins and 32 overall wins. They also competed in the UEFA Champions League for the 15th successive season,[1] losing in the semi-finals to Bayern Munich in a penalty shoot-out. They entered the Copa del Rey as the defending champions, but lost 4–3 in the quarter-finals by Barcelona.

The season has been often termed by some newspapers as "La Liga de los Récords" (Spanish for "The League of the Records") as Real Madrid broke several long-standing records throughout the season, the most prominent being most goals in a season, previously held by the Real Madrid team which scored 107 goals during the 1989–90 season, by scoring 121 this season. Another major record which Real Madrid broke was the total number of points in one La Liga season. Their total of 100 was one point better than the previous record that was set by Barcelona in the 2009–10 season.

Yeah sounds like it was all forgotten about that season...

Yeah, probably. I really don't have a clue what the idiot is going on about.
All I know is we won the league and everyone else can fuck off.
