o god...

i think i'am the only person who thinks he should of gone.

No you are not alone there are MANY on here that think the same and have been saying for several seasons he is not the future......

BUT they tend to be ones with a modicum of footballing knowledge and a lack of rose tinted spectacles

Clearly not you, then.

What about Mark Hughes, seeing as he's happy to sell him?

;-)

Good on him. He probably feels that the club are finally on the verge of success and after the service he's given no one should begrudge him wanting to be a part of that.

People need to have a reality check. I personally am one of dunnes biggest fans but i agree he isn't world class and we can do better, i.e terry, lescott. However, we're trying to build a squad that can challenge for europe and trophies. This requires strength in depth. How many teams in the prem have a defender of dunnes quality in reserve. I personally still think he should start but in all likeliness, he'll be a sub. Its people with his attitude and commitment we need. And whilst john terry he isn't, people seem to be forgetting dunnes still a good quality defender.

dunne is a great player and city fans voted him player of the year 4 times in 10 years so stop slagin him.
i hope he stays plays

Been speaking to a mate who knows Dunnie pretty well and he apparently has no intention of going to either spuds or sunderland. For starters, his family are totally settled and he doesn't want to uproot them.
He also loves City!!

From a personal point of view I hope he stays. He's not the best player in the world but neither is he the chump that some people make him out to be.
Next season is his testimonial year and I would say we OWE it to the club captain-who stuck by us in the shit times, and turned down a move to Portsmouth when Wardle was allegedly paying the wages out of his own pocket and the club was on it's arse-to be allowed to show our appreciation of a superb and loyal servant to MCFC.

Sentiment is lost in modern football but the man deserves better than to be simply forced out of the door.He still has a lot to offer-and no-one deserves to be part of the good times more than him.

I think everybody would have Dunne at the club. Just feel that if Lescott comes off as expected and Terry looking 50/50 then he could find himself literally out of the squad not just the first 11. And we'd all rather he be playing games at this stage of his career.

I think he should be given the respectful option of leaving the club if he so wishes - and it would appear that he was given the option. I wouldn't judge him for prefering first team football guaranteed for a suggestably back up position for a team who he used to be the foundation for.

But yes, for what he's done and how he's done it, Mr. Richard 'Premier League record holder for most red cards and own goals' Dunne should always have a place in our structures (that might sound as if said ironically, but it's not).
