Dunne to spuds

dunney is a legend and has been a great servent for us, he is one of the reasons we are still in the pl and are now filthy rich. However, he is not good enough for the next level that we need to be at and i for one hope we will have a better cb by the start of the season. It would be good to see him stay at the club but cant see him being happy with a place on the bench.

He's looked more comfortably since Neddy has joined him in the middle. We need a player of his quality in an around the squad.

Say if we buy a top quality CB in replacement for him, 'that' player gets injured, then I'm sure Dunne would do a stella job in covering for him.

Dunne should be kept as a squad player, if we want to be a top team we'll need 2 good players in every position, we do need to bring in better centre halves, but if they get injured, Dunne is a good player to have in your squad.

I think he is past his prime, but I would be sorry to see him leave. He has been a great servant to the club and worth every pound we paid for him!

Dunne has been great in years past and remember about two seasons ago he was IMO top 5 CB's in the prem?

Be a shame but he'd probly rather leave if other CB's come in as it would either result in him playing over someone better which would be a rift we don't need or him being stripped of his captaincy and being benched which isn't really fair. He would be an amazing squad player if it wasnt for the fact he's been first name down for 5 years and the captain for a couple too....

if Dunne weren't @ City, they may not have still been in the PL for ADUG to purchase them.

He signed for us when we were shit, Dunney! Dunney!
He's proud to wear the captaincy, Dunney! Dunney!
Never fear when Dunne's around, the hardest Irish bloke in town!
He's City till he dies!
Nanananananananana Dunney! Dunney! Nanananananananana Dunney! Dunney!

Not good enough anymore.
Deserves final payday that move would bring rather than bench warming on comparative low contract.

Spurs are ruining football!!!

No seriously I'd be sad to see Dunney go, but I'd be equally as sad to see him captain'n our side next year and I think at his age he'd prefer playing regularly than being a fringe player?

All the best Dunney- you've stuck with us through the bad times when most wouldn't!

Will he be first choice if we get all the players we could? No, but to have in the squad would be great. How many clubs have to bring in kids when the first choice CB's are out. To have Dunne around still would be an asset.

If we dont get the players, then he'll play, and most of the time is solid.

agreed, should keep him. also dont like giving another club aiming high a good player.
