Dunne

Not seen the Villa game so can't comment on Dunne's performance. But as someone pointed out you don't win player of the season four or five times if you can't play a bit.
Overall at City he was excellent in the vast majority of games he played.

Yes he did have a handful of howlers every season but I can always remember draws at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge where we were battered, but Dunnie seemed to get his body in front of everything that was fired at us.

He was also absolutely immense in both games the season we did the double over the scum!

yawn, what a boring thread. Everyone knows what you get with dunne already, a bunch of motm performances followed by a game with mistakes and maybe an own goal. That's just the way it is with the man.

He was a good player in an average team for most of his time here. When the money came in we all knew he wasn't good enough for where the Sheikh wanted City to go and to his credit he also recognised this which is why he went to Villa. We could have done without the parting shots from him but lets forget that and remember his better times here.

Can't understand the opening post.

Firstly, Richards and Dunne were one of, if not the, best centre half partnership in England during the season they played there together under Sven.

And it wasn't just City fans saying that.

So, which experienced player was carrying Dunne then?

Also, Richards is a far better centre half than fullback and only moved from that position because his confidence was shot the following season playing for a team where there was absolutely no organisation - a team that caused ever player who played centre half that season to look like a complete donkey.
