Dunnie

Well I've never rated him, sorry, and couldn't understand when he got player of the year once let alone four years running :-0

I for one am hoping he goes somewhere else next year so our forwards can run rings round him ;-)

This!

I have never been a fan, he only won player of the season because the team was garbage and he was slightly better than the other garbage around him!

Theres no sentiment in football, this great servant talk is pure nonsense, he is a professional footballer and is paid bloody well for being so, the club showed him loyalty when he had drink problems yet he was ready to jump ship last year until he got his £50k pw contract. Some saw this as loyalty on his part, I saw it as him getting a wage well above his value so he snapped our hands off!

Due to his ridiculous wage getting rid of him wont be easy but if he has to sit in the stands so be it because he is simply not good enough!

he was covering for Richards when he was playing in the middle, and he is still covering for him now he is out on the right

Bang on - when he was sent off he was covering for Richards who was jogging back.

When SWP is playing the right wing he works back and Richards gets away with it - But when SWP is not on the rightwing Richards has no cover and its left up to Dunne (or Benjani as was trhe case in Germany - ha Benjani as a defender)

I think Dunne was just so fired up and up for it - but he does it in a clumsey way - he is not as refined a Kompany

If Richards poor form is causing Dunne so many problems then why as the captain does he not open his gob and tell him so? I tell you why because Dunne is a useless captain.

You cant keep blaming everyone else for Dunnes mistakes, he makes far too many. The best defenders dont get sent off 3 or 4 times a season, they dont fall over and gift chances every other week and they dont score 2 or 3 own goals a season. Add to this he cant pass for toffee and I fail to see how Dunne has become a hero at the club nor do I see how he manages to gain so much support from the fans after yet another cock up!

Until the fans wake up and stop settling for mediocrity we will never win anything!

Did you miss the bit where I said Dunne was clumsey - top class defenders are not clumsey.

So not blaming everyone else - I think Dunne is a mid table defender - if we want to progress we need to upgrade to a top four defender.

Dunne was crap last night.... but richards must take the majority of the blame, it was his handball and crap defending in the first leg that but us out, and he was terrible last night

Time for Dunne to go, thought that since Given took the no 1 shirt he had improved but after the last 3 games i think it is time to go.

Just a little bit off topic but Richards to go too. What a waste of time he's been this season.

Dont necessarily think Richards has to go - he needs dropping and whilst not playing needs to watch the videos of him playing when he first broke into the team.

He has no sense of position and thats why he gets caught out. He pushes up front but fails to get back in time and if SWP is not playing then there is no cover. It happens on the left as Rob doesnt cover back for Bridge so Bridge just doesnt push up at all - so he keeps cover .

Great guy, great servant but his time is up, sorry. Last night was just another nightmare in an increasingly long list for him.

He has good patches of form, but far too many mistakes and bad games in-between. I don't know if something isn't right behind the scenes for him but I do know we need to move on to someone better at CB next season if we're going to progress.
