Well I've never rated him, sorry, and couldn't understand when he got player of the year once let alone four years running :-0

I for one am hoping he goes somewhere else next year so our forwards can run rings round him ;-)

I have never been a fan, he only won player of the season because the team was garbage and he was slightly better than the other garbage around him!

Theres no sentiment in football, this great servant talk is pure nonsense, he is a professional footballer and is paid bloody well for being so, the club showed him loyalty when he had drink problems yet he was ready to jump ship last year until he got his £50k pw contract. Some saw this as loyalty on his part, I saw it as him getting a wage well above his value so he snapped our hands off!

Due to his ridiculous wage getting rid of him wont be easy but if he has to sit in the stands so be it because he is simply not good enough!

Same here, Dunne has always cost us games although some City fans will have you believe that he was the best defender in the world had ever seen for the four years he won player of the year.

Dunne's time was as good as up as soon as the club started to show ambition, well after Svens honeymoon epriod anyway

I think Dunnie will still be at the club next season and will still be captain and playing regular football. Look at the team this year they have all preformed under par apart from a few. If we cant get into Europa League then we wont get any top class defender to join the club. All the blame gets laid onto Dunne look around the back 4 Bridge hasn't done it since he came and Richards has had a bigger shocker than Dunne this season. Saying that I think Richards and Dunne will both be playing regular next season. Richards will get better after this poor season and will come back stronger and better.

If the club cant get into Europe then they should try and get 1 of Hangerland of Fulham Samba of Blackburn or Agger from Liverpool it will be a battle to get any but they must try as they all will be usefull in our team of under preformers. Get them in and Dunne and the others will have to prove that they are good enough to play and with more experienced centre halves at the club the team will be better defence wise.

Agree. Let's see if Hughes has spotted this. These are the things I'll be looking for over the summer to see evidence of the club moving forward.

Agreed. If Dunne is playing/captain next season then I expect nothing more than another mid-table finish!

if It's world class we are hoping to be our whole defence has to go. Ned is good not great, richards, bridge and Dunne also. But you can't just drop the likes of Dunne when you don't have anyone better. This season is over so hopefully next season all or most of them will be replaced.
