My main concern is that goals in Serie A often don't translate well to goals in the Premier League. I feel like Bundesliga players tend to do better. Obviously Werner disproves this theory, but I think generally it's true.
He doesn’t need to score the same amount of goals

One concern I have about this transfer, he has popped up over the past two seasons as a star, and is performing at a level because he is playing every game for Fiorentina. How would he perform when maybe on the bench one in three to four games at City? Haaland has just spent an extended period injured, but scored in his first two games back, so game time maybe less important on his goalscoring.

My other would be that if we land him, it would look like we will not be going after Haaland, and therefore allowing another team to obtain what could be classed as the best young striker in Europe. Hopefully if this happens, it would not be an EPL team.
Tbf to our team we probably play 20 games or more so games played will even out.

If we want him, he's ours. This will just be an indication of whether we're prepared to gamble it for the Haaland gamble.
I wonder if Pep doesn't want to put all his eggs in one basket AKA Haaland, so we are actually looking to sign two not one forwards.

Watched the 1st half v Bologna, 1-1 at half time. He's arguably been the worst player on the pitch, completely anonymous and Fiorentina have dominated the ball, so not great.

Musa Barrow's strike for Bologna was cracking though, Bernardo-esque (v Aston Villa).

I've either picked the wrong games to watch him this season or I'm missing something. I don't think he's that good and definitely not a Pep player.

Watching Rochdale-Plymouth now but I'll try to catch bits of the 2nd half.

same, watch 1H and he was anonymous. Did notice he was pressing, just not sure on how effective he was.

for me a €70M gamble compared to Haaland.

how many times did the team feed him the ball? if Fiorentina has the ball and the other teams stay comopact. usually his orders are to simply stay in the box. If you watch a open game you will see all his skills to playmake and hold the ball up and to construct a move.
