Watching him against compact teams are the games to judge him on to be honest. 95% of City's games are against teams with 11 behind the ball. His style doesn't look compatible with us/Pep.

It definitely is compatible. He’s even already playing in a 4-3-3. And most teams he faces in Italy play very defensively.
 
Penalty, but came from a Vlahovic pass. His passing is quite good
 
Scored a penalty after Nicolas Gonzalez was fouled. Vlahovic has actually been worse this half though, given the ball away on at least 2 attacks.
 
Think his quality is plain to see even if he hasn’t been stellar in his execution today.

Good movement, good eye for space, good incisive awareness and passing. I think he’d fit just fine from the games I’ve watched.

I don’t think he’s nearly got the presence and quality of Haaland though and that’s the problem. Vlahovic could well be quality for us, but it would mean we’ve still signed second best. And that means someone else has signed best.
