I thought Fernando did well, as did Clichy and Yaya. Aguero did as much as he could with very little assistance.

Poor Jesus. He had a shocker, although at least he worked his arse off and didn't hide. I guess Easter isn't an easy time for him.

I said after the 1st leg that they were rubbish and got hammered for it. I don't think anyone would argue that point tonight

That's fair enough, I wasn't too carried away myself after the first leg. But you were/are absolutely right. Imo the poorest team we've faced in this competition.

True but I'm sure he will be back

Disappointing performance, but job done. No point in over exerting ourselves with the tie in our control.

Thank goodness I didn't travel to see that.
We didn't need to do anything but defend and hit them on the break but they clearly wanted to exit the competition judging by their lack of effort and risk taking.

Chicken Kiev is an apt description. They were unwilling to risk being plucked off on the break.

There was an incident in the First Half tonight when Zabaleta misplaced a short pass to Navas, but the winger then chased fifty yards, before forcing his opponent into conceding a throw-in.

That was the moment when I realised that Navas was absolutely brilliant at all the things that we hadn’t actually bought him for.

What's the difference between Kelly Dalglish and a points whore?

Kelly did not get any loyalty points for watching it on TV and then moaning about City.
