Re: Dzeko
some of the people on here should look the word 'supporter' up in the dictionary.
for all I could see, and I'm no expert to be frank, the game was quite average and below expectations for 'the game of the week'.
the only good moment was the freakazoid goal.
and DŽeko was, for the time he was on the pitch, no better or worse than the rest of your team. he tried. the goal that could have given you a point, had the mighty god Perun not given all the luck in the world to Rooney, was partly DŽeko's.
what do you want from him? to adapt to a new style of playing? to be Tevez, taking the ball, walking over the defense and going for it himself? well you should have bought another South American if you wanted that.
DŽeko is class. but he is used to being serviced by the midfield, playing up front and having a creative midfield behind him, placing himself in perfect positions to score and doing it when he is given the ball. he is a clinical, one-touch striker.
that's not the game MCFC plays. you have 11 players, most of whom play for themselves. at least that's what I've seen in the period I've been watching you. DŽeko needs to adapt to that, to learn that he has to fight for every ball himself, that he can't just make himself available to finish or give away assists.
I'm not a fan of your team, to be honest. today, while watching the game, I said that I personally think he made a mistake by signing. you can call me names for that. you can call him bad, and you can consider yourselves conned out of millions. but I think that doesn't make you great supporters, not giving the lad a halfway decent chance to learn and give you his best.
(same way I think Mancini is a twat for benching him after three average games. but well, I'm biased, I guess.)
