Dzeko not mobile enough...lol

He impressed me big time. Attitude and skillwise looked spot on. Excellent signing.

AND SO IT BEGINS...

Looked mobile enough for me. The important thing is to have strikers who compliment each other. Tevez is probably the most mobile forward in the league, so ideally he'd want a partner who will hold his position so we still have a focal point.

Pundits always come out with clichés like this. It's down to a lack of football intelligence. Hansen is a doylem.

That clip where he blocks out the defender then oversteps a vicious scissors tackle that could have decked him, happened right in front of me, and at the time I was hugely impressed and watching it on MOD it is even more impressive. He does not need running pace, more Prem reaction pace, which will come. He is a very good natural player and finisher. Every time he got the ball they crowded him out cos of feared reputation, plus his efforts on goal were actually saved, not bad shots! He will be immense for us, give him time!
Plus he seems quite a character based on last week's Presser.

Laughable.....

Villa- does not have electric pace.

Berbatov- not the quickest

Shearer- not so fast

Sheringham- slow.

All top modern strikers.

To be fair Tevez isn't really that fast either just has unbelievable Stamina

Seemed to me that he has a very quick footballing brain. That can compensate for any lack of speed in the feet, and imo he aint that slow. There are many quick and useless prem players that can sprint into space and then do not know what to do. After watching him today, I do believe we have a diamond in Dzeko.

Dzeko has plenty of top speed and was evident in the debut. He will have no problem adjusting to the pace of the Premier League, he just needs to know his teammates so his reactions will be quicker. But based on yesterday's performance he is well on his way. He already has an assist and almost scored.
Keep in mind that Dzeko is a tall player and thus takes longer strides but his top speed is excellent for a player his size. Just because a shorter player's feet move more frequently does not mean he's running faster :)
I think the deceptive speed and feet quickness of Dzeko will give lots of teams problems. You saw the quickness he had to avoid two Wolves players yesterday on the sideline. That got the fans excited!

I can't wait until next week!
