Dzeko not mobile enough...lol

Dzeko has plenty of top speed and was evident in the debut. He will have no problem adjusting to the pace of the Premier League, he just needs to know his teammates so his reactions will be quicker. But based on yesterday's performance he is well on his way. He already has an assist and almost scored.
Keep in mind that Dzeko is a tall player and thus takes longer strides but his top speed is excellent for a player his size. Just because a shorter player's feet move more frequently does not mean he's running faster :)
I think the deceptive speed and feet quickness of Dzeko will give lots of teams problems. You saw the quickness he had to avoid two Wolves players yesterday on the sideline. That got the fans excited!

I can't wait until next week!

YaYa is similar in that sense, as he is deceptively fast.

Just a quick note to our new found Bosnian fans. We hope we will all grow to love Edin Dzeko as a City player but I think it is important to remember that there are eleven players out there on the pitch for us at any one time, plus the rest of them on the bench and the squad.

I have seen a number of posts from you guys lauding Dzeko and that is fine but it would be nice if you could support Manchester City, not just Edin. This is not aimed at you only, by the way, it is for all new fans. Comments like ''I can't wait till next week'' suggest to me that you are referring to the Villa game as that is when Edin will next be playing. However, we have an extremely important game on Tuesday against Leicester. Don't forget that!

CTID.

Not really sure you can say the guy is slow as he hasn't played for over a month, average in the first have with no supply, excellent in the second and impressive in his control.
Call me old fashioned if you like but it was nice to see a central striker in the central area of the pitch.

He does indeed look slow, due to his height (6'4"), if you are not paying attention. A bit like Crouch, but faster than him.

Deceptively fast, as someone already said, and more than fast enough, while his other skills are pure class.

I hope Joe/Ade can deal with Leicester, so that we see this side win the cup. That would surely cause some newly induced diarrhea in the outskirts and may prove the decisive factor to winning the Premiership as well.

Yeah he has plenty of other abilities so I'm not worried by his lack of pace.

btw Dw bout bosnian fans, like me many watched cup game ,and are getting the hang of it. Tbh for me Dzeko was something that brought me...but bluemoon rising is what really pulled the trigger in my way. You gotta understand that since we are one....we always go for the underdog mentality, and so......CMON CITY :P

Dzeko is slow, Tevez doesn't score goals, Yaya is a defensive midfielder and Balotelli is a whinging bastard.

I thought the speed of the game took Edin by surprise in the first half, but he adjusted well and looked much more comfortable in the second.

Overall, I was very impressed with our new centre-forward and can't wait to see more of him.
