I'd actually be delighted with Dzeko. I know he's been a bit of a disappointment for you, but to be fair City's system under Mancini didn't maximise his ability at all and he still had a good goal return for you. He wouldn't stifle Lukaku's development either and seems happy enough to come off the bench.

Funny that outsiders see what a lot on here dont...To sell Dzeko to you would be madness..pure madness.

If it clears the way for Cavani though?

I still think he will stay and utilised correctly, will be a far better player for us going forward and that Tevez is the one out of the door.

If we are to topple Jose's hopes of a quick title we need to keep Dzeko and still get Cavani..

I agree too that Tevez is the one to go.. Dzeko,Aguero,Cavani on the teamsheet will worry everyone.

Agreed and with the addition of Navas, it appears that Ferran, Txiki and Pellegrini are thinking along the same lines.

With the arrival of Navas, and hopefully Isco too,the above does make more sense.

If we have to sell Dzeko we should sell him abroad... The better option available is to include him in Cavani's deal, Napoli would love that but I'm not sure Edin himself want to go there. He'll probably prefers Milan (they don't specially need him) or Juventus.

Now I feel like the kid in the sweetshop.. fuck the sweets ;)

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

After initially fearing that Chelsea would sign Falcao, should they end up with Dzeko and we get Cavani... i'll be delirious!

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Would someone please explain the logic of selling Dzeko to the team that will be our main rivals for the title?? We aren't Wenger/Arsenal selling RVP. We don't need the money so if we really want to sell him then let him go abroad again. Personally I'd keep him and see if the signing of Navas gives us back the striker who took Wolfsburg to the Bundesligia title.

It stops them rivalling us for Cavani?

Aside from that I agree with you...but if it was a choice between the two it would be Cavani all day every day

Perhaps you're right but I have the feeling if Chelsea really wanted Cavani then they would just pay the buy out and meet his wage demands. They blew £50mill on Torres without a second thought.

If Chelsea offered 35m for Dzeko would we take it. (IMO I would)
Of course we would.

Make a profit on a player who isn't that important in the team and use the money towards buying someone better!

Already spent nearly 40m this window on Jose and Schurrle supposedly. They need a defender and a midfielder desperately too.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

"Cit revenge" on "Mancityfans.net came across this Dzeko quote from the Bosnian camp:
on question will he go from City " I don't know yet it will be more clear picture at the start of the summer. I m focus on my club City and i will see where i stand with new manager and hes plans." On question would he love to remain in England or go back to Germany or Italy referring to interest of Chelsea, staying in the City, interests and Borussia ,Napoli swoop with Cavani, he replied "I think you know that there is only one club in Italy for which i would play."

The Italian club may be AC Milan, who according to Wiki he supported as a boy, or maybe Juve who he nearly joined when he came to us from Wolfsburg?
I suppose we can rule out a swap for Cavani and Dzeko if this is true!

Which makes me sure they aren't interested in Cavani.

I think he supported AC Milan and Shevcenko was his idol.

I'd like to hope so. Tevez out, Cavani in. Beautiful.

The same sky bet that had Falcao odds on to sign for United?

Odds are not gospel, bookies know fuck all. Why do people think otherwise?

Bookies always have three paying-in windows to one paying out!
