City and Chelsea (along with scum most probably) will be neck and neck for the top of the table all of next season. How can we sell to THEM? Selling him to another English club would be bad enough, but to one of the top 3 or 4 clubs? Criminal. He will score so many goals against us I shudder at the thought.

Edin is a head case. We've seen him when his head is right and he's ungodly good. We've seen him when his head is wrong and he's shite.

Either keep and let Pelle have a shot at getting his head right, or sell to Italy/Germany. Lots of clubs would love to get him. So what if Chelsea will give us more. It's worth the financial hit just to not see him coming back to bite us.

Also, not to buy into the "special one" hype too much, but assuming Jose really does want him, shouldn't that tell us all we need to know about Edin's quality and potential?

Maybe Jose just wants us to think he wants him at Chelsea so that we keep him and they get Cavani? He is a genius at mind games, so I've heard...

Look, I also want Cavani in. Very much so. But I also believe in Edin. I don't believe he is god's gift, and I don't believe that he is better than Cavani atm, but I do believe he is quality. I believe managers do make a difference. And I firmly believe that even if City want to go in a different direction, they should do it by moving him far from the Prem.

City with Cavani is better than Chelsea with Dzeko. But Chelsea with Cavani would be a very real threat.

If that did actually happen, I don't think the difference next season would be anywhere near as big as some make out. Would expect Dzeko as the main man at Chelsea to score as many as Cavani for us, certainly within 3/4 goals. Dzeko with consistency and confidence is a bloody beast.

What? The Dzeko that plays for us? MP uses inverted wingers for a start.

Sounds good to me. We need to be ruthless because Chelsea are. We have a richer owner than them, we need to piss on their chips at every opportunity when it's a bidding war between us. Otherwise, with the way they buy players and having Mourinho back, plus the scum having RvP and always being up there, we could end up 3rd or 4th.

If selling dzeko means we get cavani then lets get it done i dont see the issue, you'd rather keep dzeko and have cavani go chelsea with the mighty mourinho?

He's not. But he is unpredictable and full of potential (which in and of itself is annoying to a lot of his detractors, I know: they want good Edin always)

There just has to be another way.

Who would you rather Chelsea have?

1. Cavani
2. Ibrahimovic
3. Dzeko

Because there is a chance this could be their shortlist. People talk about Mourinho managing Dzeko, but what about Mourinho managing CAVANI!?!?

It's a sacrifice I'd make if it meant Cavani, even if it leads to a few "Dzeko scores -> does his smart-arse 'be quiet' taunt to City fans" moments.
