Dzeko to Inter

Some just don't realize how good we have it with him. People saying we need to ship him out and bring "someone better" in. He's THIRD choice striker ffs. Find me a better third string center-forward in world football. Never throws up a fuss, has a nice demeanor about him, and does his job on the pitch. How may times has he saved our asses this season?

As others have said, this is a case of not knowing what you have til it's gone with alot of people here.

We paid £27million for him. He has now proven himself in the best league in the world (or so the media say)

Surely he is now worth more rather than less?

1 - We massively overspent on him

2 - He will be on big wages

15 - 20 million would be a great fee imo.

I dont know if I'm the only one thinking this - but I believe Dzeko has never been further away from leaving City.

I thought if he was to leave - it would've happened last january or this past summer when his stock was down and he really lost his place in the team.

Now?

Tevez is at the end of his contract, and will be 30+.
Sergio has some REAL personnal issues and (let's hope not) he might at some point decide to go closer to home.
Balotelli...well, at this point in time his status is very uncertain.

If you think about it, as Dzeko is 26 (or 27?) and has 3 more years on his contract - he is our MOST STABLE option if you're looking at the future (next 3-4 years). Even if we were to bring in someone else - I think Tevez will be out sooner than Dzeko.

I thought he would be out last year, now I just dont see this happening at all.

Tehe truth is most City fans really don't like Dzeko deep down, hence why he makes their list of to be sold wishes every rumor.

But in terms of performance and projection, he is our most consistent striker. Has the best attitude, and is about to hit his peak in the 3 years he is under contract with us.

Frankly, while I like Aguero more and I am more amazed by his talent, Dzeko I believe will turn out to be City's best striker of the 4 we currently carry.
Noisey minority on here I would have thought mate.

with dzeko its a case of effective vs attrative

the fans like the one two's of tevez and aguero and their graft,
but ultimatley it goals that win games.

i.e dzeko wins games
dont mess with that, not at this stage. Its just madness

In a weird way I was quite impressed with Aguero's 40 goals in 72 games along with his graft and also Tevez's 64 goals in 112 games with his graft but Dzeko who is half the footballer has 34 in 90

Goals win you games, Aguero and Tevez aint too bad a bet

-- Thu Jan 10, 2013 3:17 pm --

Big players usually are
15 - 20 million would be a great fee imo.
Anything under £20 mill would be a rip off

Wooopsy. Misleading much?

34 in 90 games? In the league or what?

Dzeko has made 63 league appearances (a big chunk of which were mere minutes) and scored 33.

No club especially from Italy is going to pay 20million plus and match his 100k wages for a player who isn't even a regular starter for us and hasn't since he signed.

-- Thu Jan 10, 2013 4:28 pm --

Misleading

Goals win games was the statement

Aguero and Tevez have a better goals per game ratio. No one mentioned the league at any point, but if you want to then Aguero 31 in 52 and Tevez 53 in 90. So Aguero is stand out better than both I would say that Tevez and Dzeko are the same. Im sure Aguero and Tevez have made cameo appearances as well

Edit: seen Dzeko real goal per game in league so Tevez is better again anyway

Misleading only when you make stats up
