Final offer of €25m (about £17.3m) from Roma,according to TUTTOMERCATOWEB.

Ideally I would have wanted £20m for Dzeko, however £17.3m isn't a bad offer at all. I'd be inclined to accept this if I were City. Frees up a foreign spot in the squad for, hopefully, a new signing, and gets something like £120k a week off our wage bill as well. Not to mention, as far as FFP is concerned, a £12.7m profit on Dzeko to boot!

He might not, true, I don't think we should worry about the fee, we're not short of money, and getting his wages off the books is far more important. At RM he's much more likely to be a threat to us at some stage, even if we get Roma in our group in the CL, we should progress, but RM have far better players, making Edin a bigger threat there.

If it hadn't been for the fact that RM took Hernandez from the rags last year I wouldn't have believed the link anyway.

You make a good point but for what he's done for us while he's been here I hope he gets the club he wants, RM, Roma or whoever.

I agree mate....I think its clear Dzeko is ready for a move and think its best for both sides if he moves on....if Roma are offering around £15mil I'd take the offer...he'll be 30years old by this time next year so seems a fair price and we'd get his wages off the books...thanks
