Dzeko?

Unfortunate but this talented player has to go unless he insists on fighting for a place and not sulk when the jury's out every game he's not in the starting list.

He always plays for the team and was exceptional during the days when Aguero was still finding his City form. that 4 goal game when he scored with a left, a right, a header and yards out was indicative of how good he is. He still has it but I guess our tactical approach has slightly changed from him blistering goalside like Aguero to being the one holding the ball. expecting him to jink his way through like Aguero or Tevez is too much an ask in City for a player the ilk of Dzeko, Jovetic or Balotelli. A compromise is someone with a deft touch yet strong and direct like Anelka who I guess is what Bony is meant to be.

He will I believe regain his Wolfsburg form in a club playing around him.
And that's the thing. He's not good enough to have a team built around him at City

Well, wouldn't YOU??

We all have at least a little pride in ourselves. A guy who scored close to 70 goals for this club getting ZERO minutes in 11 substitutions??
And over bunch of no-names to say the least?? And this is quite repetitive in Dzeko's case.

I HOPE treatment of Edin is indicative that some kind of trade is either done or very close...otherwise Pellers is just being a world-class a-hole to the guy.

Otherwise, if I am Dzeko I not only sulk - I hand in the trade request asap...and let pellers get that kind of production from world's UNPROVEN Pozo's and iheanacho's...

Darn right I'd sulk too...if you think about it personally.

Hi EaglesFan, its clear Dzeko wants to go and City are ready to move on, once we get the right offer. I think Dzeko was held out of these pre-season games because a deal is very close, which will be best for everyone....Last season was a very poor season for Dzeko and his game time dropped because of it. He's scored some great goals for us but time to move on....

Practically what I said. Because we have better.

Since Hughes we have been looking for a talisman up front and Aguero ascended to that role. We are now looking for a deputy and as how we tested the water then, we do so now with Bony. Time will tell if Bony ends like Dzeko or be a name feared by oppositions.

Irrespective of how poorly fit Dzeko is to our system, he is still an exceptional player. It's a bit similar like Micah and Zaba. Initially Micah was the better player at the time but as City's lineup evolved and in turn the play, Zaba became better fit, granted Micah was blighted by injuries. But so has Dzeko.

I do wonder if Dzeko would thrive in Real Madrid if given the chance, and I feel he woul be decent in such a setup, yet abyssmal in Barca.

He'd be shit at real. Benzema is a very talented striker but he also has the passing and vision of a 10. He links bale and ronaldo together and creates as many as he scores.

He's also pretty fast, and they play on the break a lot. Dzeko would be awful for them.

He would be ideal for Arsenal getting service from walcott, Sanchez Ox-Chamberlain etc..
Therefore he has to move abroad.

Twatter rumours are saying a flurry of bets have been put on for Dzeko to the rags...I call bollox

Probably based on van Gaal's cryptic mention of a potential signing whose name had not yet been mentioned in the media. By that extension, it could be absolutely anyone.

Can't wait for EaglesFan & Co to switch their allegiances if Džeko is the Scum's surprise signing.
