Well done Edin, lad - you have a place in our history. The goals against the Scum, Spurs, Leicester, QPR and Everton ensure that. Good luck, big fella.

Have never slagged Edin, or any player. The bloke who did slag him I called a twat, but I think the mods cleaned that up, which is fair enough

as much as edin made a great contribution and some important goals these past few years, sorry to say the time was right for him to leave. he'd gone stale last season and a new challenge will be good for him. a classic example of a confidence player if ever i saw one. he needs to be the main man up front and play every game to get the best out of him. thats never gonna happen while sergio is here and lets be honest edin isnt the player sergio is so time to move on.
good news is i stuck £20 on dzeko to roma back in early june at 5/2 so every cloud an all that.
Good post ,exactly my thoughts.

Edin was a player that needed a run of games to bring his confidence up, that said he has scored some very important goals for us, if the ball was played into him his first touch was dreadful, play it in front of him for him to run on to was a different thing, he will score goals anywhere he go's if they play with out and out wingers crossing the ball, he would have been a real danger to us had he gone to arsenal, good luck big fella.

All the best big man, one of the most frustrating players I've seen in a long time but had a habit of scoring massive goals, wouldn't surprise me to see him knock in 20 + next season.

All the best Edin, right time for you to move on though. Cheers for all your goals. Anyone think 14m was a poor deal?.

Edin was 3rd choice for the majority of his time at city, behind Sergio and Tevez and even Balotelli at times and then Negredo, ye he isn't as good as Sergio or Tevez but not many are. Hes done more for us than Negredo or balotelli but gets more stick.

Hes a bit of a square peg in a round hole for us but still managed to weigh in with some big goals when it mattered most. I will give him a standing ovation if he ever comes back either as a guest or opposition as he played a big part in the most successful period city have had in my life time. Thanks for the memories Edin Dzeko Bosnian Diamond.
