It's all about trust really. Throughout this forum, on every thread.

If you think our club is run by fucking idiots, & therefore the people at the top are fucking idiots & so clueless as to employ fucking idiots, then you tend to believe every negative, if you think we are one of the top outfits in world football, owned by some of the best connected people in the business world & run by people who have been hand picked as amongst the best operaters in the football world, then you tend to believe things are done for a reason.

If someone ever comes up with any kind of reasonable evidence to tempt me to change my opinion & join the first gang, I'll certainly consider it.

Until then, I'll continue to think of that group as having no substance whatsoever.
You just carry on with your happy clapping.
What have Txixi and Soriano ever done apart from turn Barcalona into one of the most successful clubs in the world.

We didn't want to sell to a prem side and nobody outside the prem seemed to want him so what alternative is there.
He'd been here 4.5 years so I imagine his book value would have been minimal, so regardless of the low fee we got for him, I don't think we would have made a loss on him and we don't have to pay his wages any more which is a bonus.
Good bit of business if you ask me.

Do people genuinely think these 'letters' the players supposedly write nowadays are actually real?

Get a grip you lunatics.

Yet had he said something negative about the club, you would be here moaning calling him a c*nt.
A player who played a huge part in the success over the last 4 1/2 years, saying thanks to the fans and everybody at the club is always nice to read.

Exactly. Then he would have authored every negative word I suppose. But because it's a nice message, it had to have come from an agent or PR person.
Not saying it is not the case, but not every player either writes or authorises a positive message to their old clubs. Edin and his handlers did and whatever the motive, he still didn't have to do it. He is never coming back. So well done Edin and thanks for everything.

It's pretty well written for a non-native English speaker but for a professional-1 too many mistakes. Edin seems like a genuinely decent guy so I'm going to believe that was too personal and heartfelt for it to be a PR person. I'll always have a soft spot for him and for his role in our recent success.
Much luck and will always look out for him when Roma plays.

Was shocked at how low the fee was tbh.

I'm sad to see him leave but wish him all the best!

Is the initial loan, with purchase at a later date a deliberate ploy by ourselves? Creative accountancy at work?
Is Dzeko still our player if he goes on loan and City can still claim amortization?

If so, clever work by the execs!
