Aye he could be the most frustrating player but he did chip in and will fair better at Roma as he will be their main man imo
Over the last 18 months or so mate,I really was one of his fans. But his demise came for me,was his attitude is working for the team.Time and time again we heard from his country fans that he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. But where was this same attitude and commitment that he showed for his country but not for his club ??
In the end he did no favours for himself, continually looking at the ground and his boots. He spent more time out on the flanks than he did in the centre and people were very critical of Navas rushing into the area and no-one having pushed up to get on the end of nay crosses.
Sulky ! Well maybe he was,but by the same token he didn`t do himself any favours, but who`s fault t the end of the day was that ?
He was brilliant in those first 2-3 years and hell he won some games for us.But his last 18+ months,he really was crap and who`s fault was that ??

I get your point mate and I agree with it that it was down to Dzeko to make both Mancini's and Pellegrini's life difficult in terms of team selection, and has failed to take the initiative and make more of a mark, and I do feel a bit of a **** for defending the indefensible ( honestly I wasn't on the wind up at the time and still had some of my marbles when I said he was a useful player to have in the squad). Still he didn't leave under a cloud and it seems he has some affection for the club.

Well done Edin and Denis 2 each..

He's really rubbing salt into the wounds now as far as I'm concerned. 2 on his debut for his new club and looked like he gave a fuck. He was mugging us off royal for his last year here.

All these good luck messages are making me want to puke. "Good luck Edin!" "True City legend!" Bollocks to him. Yes, he scored us some important goals. But that's his job. If he hadn't have thrown the towel in and if he had played as if his life depended on it every time he came on as sub then maybe he'd be worthy of legend status. But as it stands, for a long time he's looked like he didn't want to give it his all which for me is unforgivable when you are dressed in our kit.

City legend - dont make me laugh.

His goals directly led to 2 Premier League titles, Champions League qualification and kept us in both the FA and Carling Cups.

You will see in my post that I said he scored some important goals for us. Do you have any comments on his attitude / body language/ perceived effort level during last season to share?

It was in reference to you being disgusted at people saying good luck and stating he isn't a club legend. He's contributed enough to deserve the respect and wishes that have been given and it's ridiculous to ignore his contribution. Last season he was playing with an injury and we signed his replacement in January

So... you don't like that Edin lad too much, do you?

I for one hope he scores a bagful for AS Roma, then we all win as he will have met the criteria for the permanent deal and we will have got a fee. I also have a soft spot for Roma so most definitely a win win. No he's not a City legend but was a decent player for us so I don't understand all the vitriolic sentiments posted on here, he's gone, we move on.
