The last two years? In 13/14 he scored 26 goals as we won a double
Exactly. If the idle twat could have bothered to move his arse he could have scored a lot more.Fucking hell the Beast scored that in half a season !!
Last season proved he doesn`t give a shit.He can do it for his country but has a "fuck you City" attitude when he put that Blue shirt on last season.I have never seen a player look down at the fooking grass and his bastard boots more than him. What the fuck was that all about ?
I`ve always maintained that he`s served us well and helped us achieve far greater things than I ever thought I`d see since that late 1960`s,but we need to move to that next level and unfortunately some fans only want to look backwards.
Well done Edin but time to move on.

According to TUTTOMERCATOWEB,Dzeko has agreed everything with Roma(4 year deal),city happy for him to go,but holding out for £20m (€28m).

I have always felt somewhat sorry for Dzeko. Whenever City has brought a new striker in, they've always been above him in the pecking order. Its easy to see why he could be slightly miffed. That said, it is time for him to go, Its a lot of money to be spending in wages on a back-up striker. Would rather see Iheanacho come through and get a chance at some minutes in the lesser games.

His attitude might be true but that doesn't change the fact that he has had a good recent season ('13-'14) scoring 20+ goals. And plenty of players have had their price raised because of their international performances playing for their country - something that Dzeko has done very well (Schurrle and James Rodriguez in the world cup come to mind).

We definitely need to move him on but the lowball value being quoted is very typical for the Italian clubs.Good to hear that we're holding out to get some more from the deal.

Dzeko, despite him being a lazy bastard, will always be a legend for City.

Parallels with when Yaya looked like going, we musn't forget the huge moments that he has been involved in.

Just from memory I have :

Goal v. QPR
Goal v. Spurs (one of the best headers that I've seen)
Goal v. Spurs (his 4th, our 5th, and just casually swiped into the top corner)
Goal v. Utd in 6-1 (his 2nd one when he'd lost count of the score, which was defining if only for how it represented the margin of victory) :)
Goal v. Madrid away (can this really be happening)
Goal v. West Brom away (last minute)
Goal v. Palace away last year
Goal v. Everton away last year (when Aguero had gone off injured)
Goal v. Villa at home last year (the first, liberating one)
Goal v. Utd away last year (his 2nd on attacking a near post corner)

The man has done an awful lot for his 200k a week (or whatever) and has deffo proved a good buy if we manage to get anywhere near 20m for him.

You frustrate the fuck out of me Edin, you show amazing passion when you score, and a can't-be-arsedness when it comes to closing down, but you'll always be a star.

I agree he is often the one who misses out but imo he brings it on himself. We have all seen how good Dzeko can be & how he is quite cabable of chasing when we lose the ball, holding off players, winning headers etc. He can be having a run in the team, all going fine, then suddenly, he doesn't bother.

but the reason we keep buying strikers is because the powers that be think edin maybe found his level and couldn't up it,and its exactly as it should be,i love edin, cant understand the lack of city love on here for him,he has been excellent for us,however the guys behind him aren't going to lump it into the box,its just not our way, they slide the balls in behind the defence for a quick striker(aguero) not edins fault ,he has excellent qualities sadly qualities that don't suit our team.

if he goes very best of luck and thank you very very much.

Perhaps I should have been clearer, I have no ill feeling towards him, I think he can be a fantastic player when his attitude is right. Constantly seeing players brought in above you though is always going to drop your level. But he also doesn't fit as well as others with how we set up as you've said in your post. The players we are currently targetting and probable system moves even further away from what he needs to thrive, hence moving him on.

as a pro footballer if they brought somebody in to do a better job then a top pro would surely up their game, I just think edin maybe has shown he has hit the ceiling on performance and is actually going backwards as our level rises, the edin haters(for want of a better word) wasn't directed at yourself,so sorry for that, but their is a few on bluemoon that aren't to keen
