E10 Fuel

Is anyone else of the same mindset that this fuel seems to be getting used a lot quicker than the previous grade ?
I seem to be filling up a lot more often than previous and with the high costs nowadays for fuel it's hitting the bank balance..
Abolutely mate, spot on with your observation.

Apparently it can also cause damage to fuel lines and seals on older vehicles. Maybe the powers that be want us to all buy a new ev? Surely not

I had to put the premium stuff a few weeks ago when all the busy twats went out after seeing social media bollocks about a shortage, thereby creating a shortage.
Definitely noticed more mileage out of it.

If you’re doing a lot of miles and regularly fill up it’s not too bad. If you’re not or using gas for any small motor or intend to store something fueled up, avoid it like the plague. There are some good additives you can buy that really help clean out the fuel lines and carb. Lucas make some good ones and I use a product called ‘sea mist’
Also, any touted environmental bonuses are misleading as there’s much research on corn production that suggests it’s anything but

I started using the premium stuff once a month closest to payday after my mechanic recommended it, before that I thought it was a gimmick. Bit harder to justify now were about £1.50 a litre mind!
I just use normal unleaded, I tried premium once and carefully calculated the mpg (or in my case litres per 100k/klm) and it was exactly the same. So I never used it again. Never used E10 either. I may try it.
Our petrol is exactly half the price of yours.
