Eagles & Steely Dan Co-Op Live Arena in May

I went to see Steely Dan at the O2 a few years ago. They were supported by the outstanding Doobie Brothers.
The sound quality was awful though and it was after that I banned myself from stadium gigs.

I’ve been a fan of Steely Dan since the 70’s but there’s no way I’ll pay £200 to watch them at the Coop.
I would if they were playing at Band on the wall or Gorilla though.

Interesting that with those prices which will likely be similar for a lot of gigs that the demographic of attendees won't be the same as regulars who turn up to Burnley at home.

Will the gig goers be happy with no street parking? I guess that the club car parks at a price and trams will just about take the strain until we double up with a game the same night.

Would’ve liked to see The Eagles before they split in the 80’s - the dual Felder and Walsh guitars was just awesome stuff. Now though it’s just a bunch of replacements.

£100 to see Clapton
£70 Pet Shop Boys

Still tickets left hopefully they'll play to a half empty room

What would the ticket prices be if keeping pace with inflation from say 1985 when they weren't hatefully milking you for every last pound
£70 for the Pet Shop Boys isn’t to bad. Watched them at the MEN. Brilliant gig!

I don't know how they sell out at these prices , way way past their peak. Assuming they do.

And obviously they'd prefer to play to a considerable number of rows of empty seats than have a full house at more reasonable prices.
Which is just weird.

Seems they can still sell out

"Due to phenomenal demand, the band announced they will be adding two more dates, 7 & 8 June to their historic farewell tour - The Long Goodbye"

I’ve paid £125 for Springsteen at Wembley in July. Absolute joke but whilst idiots like me still pay it, the acts/venues will continue to charge it
True, and I think he’s well past his peak. Fortunately saw him a few times back in the day, last time at our ground, think it was about 2014.
If it was an artist I really liked, at the peak of their powers, then maybe, but otherwise I’ve given up on these expensive “heritage” acts.
