Ear Candling

If you mean ears de-waxed ...... i had it done three weeks ago!

Mind you it's not really done me any favours .......

i can hear the missus moaning at me only too clearly now!

no, candled. Shove a special candle in there and light it.

it's Indian, apparently...

EDIT: How were you de-waxed?

At the Ear , Nose and Throat hospital .....

you get referred there by your GP or NHS walk in centre for 'ear suctioning' .

But some Doctors surgery nurses will also clear ear wax for you , via the old syringing method.

Yes it originates with the Hopi Indians of north america. It should tale around 45 mins to 1 hour and can cause dizziness in some people. However it really does get rid of the gunk in your ears.
If you don't like sounds in your head then maybe it's not for you as it is quite noisey with all the popping and what not.

I did it last night.
I put a topic on yesterday (Hopi candles) but nobody seemed interested.

It works. I can't say that I've noticed a difference in hearing, but once you finish, you peel the candle apart to reveal all of the wax that it has pulled from your ear. Gonna do it every few months, now.
