Early Leavers

If you left because you needed to be somewhere whats the problem? No one else's business but their own.

If you left solely because you thought we weren't going to get a goal - then you should know by now that we don't give up. No big deal either.

Got to say I did think about leaving but know we're not the City of old and we'd try right to the final whistle.

I left early for one reason....I didn't want to get soaked walking back to the station so left to get a cab. Was it a good decision? Yes because I got one and stayed dry.

For those that say why bother going?

Well I actually contemplated not going due to travel problems and the weather. Am I glad I made the effort....no cos it was a wank game and wank performance.

Anyway 3 points in the bag is all that matters to me. I didn't go to Fulham, west brom or Newcastle either but did I enjoy our wins any less? No.

"How do you think it affects the team?"

This was taken from the article about the QPR game. The quote is from a man who has won almost every honour in the game:

Vieira: At 2-1 down with five minutes to go I was really stressed and started to sweat. You start to think you have thrown it away. I got really frustrated because I wasn’t playing anymore and couldn’t control anything that was happening. I’m not someone to really express it but on the inside I was very tense. People started to leave the stadium and when you look around and see that you think, “S***.”

Today, someone backdoored it from block 101 on 89" min with the derisory drone of "Well that's the league gone".

As people have pointed out, you pays your money you make your choice. However don't try and legitimise it with a negative comment on your way out.

I live in Leeds, so was tempted to make a dash on 90 mins, because it was one of those days, and I couldn't see us scoring..I stayed though, and actually only sit 15 yards away from where the ball hit the net...but I still missed the goal, because I was wishing the fellah in front of me a happy Christmas, and having a handshake/hug..when the place went mental..I looked up and we'd scored!!

Shoot me down but I often leave early for various reasons including nerves (if close) and even superstition at one point!! Not sure it deserves a weekly thread but I Can understand why people query it, personal preference means you cannot sometimes understand why people do things that you would not do yourselves.
I cannot understand why people think you would be disappointed when you miss a goal. I am a City fan and delighted if City score whether sat in my seat or not. For me being gutted about missing a goal are more the actions of a day tripper than a true blue.

Lets face it, back on the old kippax, you probably missed more goals than you actually saw..I certainly did

Results speak for them self then, today and on the occasion you have quoted paddy on( who btw was a spectator not in the team). we won both games when some fans left..
Maybe we should all leave early and then the team will pull its finger out!!
