Early Leavers

I didn't even bother turning up today, Christmas plans, shite weather and poor opposition.

If i had gone i was planning on leaving on 80 mins anyway, i presume my unused seasoncard was.counted towards the attendance though, didn't look like 47,000 on motd

the swamp was empty anyway

it was double shite the game anyway, didnt look like scoring in a month of sundays.....got away with it again...mancinis a lucky frigger......thats why the majority legged it.....anything else is bollocks....

The number of late goals we score at home and away is ridiculous and there really is no better feeling than a last minute winner, so never mind all of the "I pay for my ticket, I'll do what I want" bollocks, if you do this "to beat the traffic", you need your brain examining.

Late goals from this season and last...

Swansea last minute Aguero debut goal
Villareal injury time winner
Norwich 2 in the last 5 minutes
Blackburn away goal in the last 5 minutes
Rags away 3 in the last 5 minutes
Porto goal in the last 5 minutes
Spurs injury time winner
Chelsea winner in the last 5 minutes
Sunderland 2 in the last 5 minutes
Norwich away goal in the last minute
Newcastle away goal in the last minute
QPR 2 in injury time
Madrid away goal in the last 5 minutes
Dortmund last minute equaliser
West Brom injury time winner
Spurs winner in last 5 minutes
Fulham away winner in the last 5 minutes
Rags goal in the last 5 minutes
Reading injury time winner

wasn't luck when they did it all the time of course

funny that

If all you big blues want to leave me your e-mails, I'll make sure City get them so you don't miss out on your "I'm a bigger blue than you" badge.

That's how a vociferous proportion of this forum actually see their city support. You can see it on this thread. They see it as a job, as a duty, not a choice.

Tragic Nobodies with no lives outside Manchester city in the main.

Who gives a fuck if someone leaves early?

Great post Dave-Some must have no families,no jobs,no financial worries nothing else to worry about other than supporting city and berating others for maybe leaving early. It's really rather laughable.
Spot on - could not have put it better myself...3 points in the last minute = happy days, whether watched in seat, listened in bogs, on concourse, at home, wherever...still 3 points to the the blue boys and 3 behind the red shite....reckon it will be only 4 by 4pm tmrw

Irony aside, there is a difference between fans and supporters. There was a distinct lack of one today!

I have seen most of those late goals and have also missed some. I cannot see why being in the ground makes the goal any better. A last minute winner is a high for me whether at the ground, in the pub, at home or half way down Alan Turing Way.
It does seem to wind up a minority of fans that some people choose to leave early. PLease just get a grip and celebrate the fact we didn't drop points today. Let the rags worry/make up stories aout empty seats etc.

Although we do have a distinctive number of early leavers in comparison with other clubs, it doesn't bother me.

You bought the ticket, do what you want with it.
Although if you're not turning up, atleast give it away or sell it at face value on here

Early leavers, whilst entitled to do what they want, make our ground look empty 10 minutes before the end of the game.
Bearing in mind our matches are broadcast all over the world it looks absolutely dire when we have a half empty ground before the final whistle. Add that to how it must make the players feel and I think the whole thing stinks.
Even if there was a system in place to guarantee no traffic at the end of the match these people would still leave early.
It's easy to say "I bought my ticket so I'll do what I want" but at the end of the day they should be supporting their team until the end.
Fair enough, sometimes there are reasons for the odd person to leave, but thousands? Give me a break.
I'll bet my left bollock that the people who receive tickets from allocation that City give to the community every week don't leave early. That's because they are thankful to be there where as the Cheshire brigade aren't.
Merry Christmas
