Easy Changes to Improve the game.

Referees to do post match interviews.
Referees to be ‘ miked up ‘ so fans can hear what is being discussed and why.
Captains only to speak to referees.
Captains allowed 1 ‘Review Call’ each half
Injured players requiring treatment don’t have to leave the pitch.
Digital clock to record time wasting, injury time, substitutions and ‘ ball out of play ‘ time. 15 minute sin bin for Orange Card offences.....ie diving, disputing decisions.

All in here for other ideas.
In bold find the rest no thanks

  1. Instead of a 90 minute plus some made up injury time have two halves of 35 minutes controlled by a time keeper as in rugby. A minimum of two big screens at each ground to show the time left. Clock is stopped when the ball goes out of play for a corner or goal kick and doesn't resume until ball back in play. Also stopped as soon as a ref blows for a free kick and a player is injured. Not started again until the ball back in play. No screens, no participation in the league
  2. Stop stopping the game when players just fall over. Game against Neverton, at one stage Gray just slumped to the ground hoping to stop play but when he realised the game had stopped anyway to make a sub, he got back up and was running around. It's cheating plain and simple
  3. Enforce the law which says a throw in is to be taken from where the ball goes out of play
  4. Book players who going running up to refs and liners waving imaginary cards for other players
  5. Enforce the law which states keepers have six seconds to release the ball once under control
  6. Mike the refs up
  7. Ensure that refs come out after the game to be interviewed about their think9ng behind certain decisions
  8. Mark refs after each game and relegate those to lower leagues unless they hit a certain average mark at the end of the season
  9. At the end of each season any team that has scored more than 30 goals away from home receives three bonus points
3: the reason that it’s not enforced or foul throws penalised is teams were deliberately doing so to waste time

Players getting treatment from other players to leave pitch as this is another time wasting tactic

Media trained referees doing post-match interviews, I'm alright ta. We know what referees are thinking, we just disagree sometimes because decisions go against us or because most of us don't know the nuances of the laws.
This would then give more power to the media as they would choose which incidents to interview them about... And ignore others... It's a big no from me. We know which teams they would ask about. Puts pressure in them in match even more.

said it numerous times but cramp is not an injury. its a manifestation of fatigue just like walking instead of running.

not sure what happened to play on unless its a head injury . this was agreed 3/4 (?) years ago and happened for a bit and then the crowd booing/players kicking it out resumed .

Oh yes, and penalise foul throws.

I reckon 75%+ of throwins are foul throws and hardly any are penalised.

No referee would have a problem with a team taking a quick free quick as long as the ball is stationary and in the correct place. It’s only when it becomes a ‘ceremonial’ free kick, which is basically when the attacking team are clearly waiting for him to get all opposition players back 10 yards, that he’ll indicate they have to wait for the whistle.
iirc, wasn't KDB (?) booked for taking one too quick in the past?

Miking up referees would be the single biggest change that would benefit the game. But they’re not interested in benefiting the game, they specifically want controversy because it gets people talking about the game. It’s why they resisted VAR for so long and only implemented it in a way that would still keep all of the decision making a mystery.

Vaguely remember it. Pretty sure it was a European away. I seem to remember it was a poor decision but technically he wouldn’t have been booked for taking it too quickly. It would have been because the referee had told him he now had to wait for the whistle while he gets the defenders back.

Every fourth time one of a team's players stops play for some injury or cramp ... he then has to go off & stay off for 10 mins.

If a game finishes 0-0 or 1-1, the team with the more corners wins (provided they won at least 8 more than opposition), as they were probably the ones actually trying to win it.

Actual time ball was in play is timed, and if below 70 mins at the end, the difference from 70 mins is the least the ref is allowed to add on. So if ball only in play for 60 mins, he has to add at least 10 mins.

Clock only to run when ball in play. Mike up the officials. Don’t need much else. Maybe have the 4th official elsewhere so they aren’t abused by the managers in the line.

All corners - the ball is inside the area marked, not one millimeter touching the outside of the line.

Goalkeepers to stop time wasting - Any goal kick taking longer than 10 seconds to take results in a corner kick to the opposition.
Similarly teams taking too long to take a corner, the opposition gets a goal kick
