Eberechi Eze

If we have to choose Eze or Gibbs-White, we should go for Eze.

Simply Like him more and I think he brings the energy like Bernardo had. Suits us more next to a Rodri Reijnders to let him have the freedom up there to create. Skillfull enough to handle pressure of a powerful midfield and let 1 or 2 players past him.

Agreed.

Completely agree. If we signed Eze and Reijnders and you add Rodri back to that midfield, we have the basis of a very good MF. I just don't see that with MGW. Decent player yes, but i just don't see a City player there where as i do with Eze.

To be fair, Eze has been better than any of our players this season.

Quality player but I'm not even sure he'd want to come here right now.

Falls into the same category as Bruno at Newcastle- we’ve approached him several times and not followed through. I doubt he’d be up for a move now. Looks Spurs bound.

GW is better defensively and works harder. Eze is better on the eye and has those maverick moments of brilliance in him.

I’d get both. Add Reijnders and we’re buzzing.

Whilst I'm not sure if he is/isn't genuinely Spurs bound.....

If he indeed is, then that's exactly why we shouldn't be even in the conversation. We shouldn't be looking in the same supermarket as Spurs. Aim higher.

He's more exciting to watch but we have plenty of those players. Foden on the bench for a start. I'm not sold on MGW but he's more the type of player we need.

Any player who would rather go to spurs deserves what they get.

I'm not sure either Eze or MGW are good enough. If you get both pretty much guaranteed 1 won't get a sniff. Unless we are aggressive with pushing out our current players.

Agree we should aim for the best. But I do think Eze is one of the most consistent performers in the league for at least 2 years. When players stand out like that at clubs like Palace over a long period of time then that is often as good as you can get. Every transfer is a gamble.

We have simply no one in the middle who can dribble past a player under pressure since Bernardo lost his legs. He also has a pass in him to create. I think its time to overthink, that we never will play the Ball like before this szn as the Unc‘s are finished.

Foden isnt a exceptional good Dribbler to Beat his man 1v1 or 1v2. Eze is way better in that and also has a bit of physics.

We have to try new things for the preseason maybe this 4222 we played before Haaland came back.

Its up to pep to adapt with other new players. This slowly control as f*** ball needs to be over. Look how Paris, Real, Arsenal, Liverpool run all over us like we were Kids.

Also I See Eze as an alternative on the Wing as he is really good also in tight spaces to find the Right pass

Eze hasn't been the hot transfer name as of late, but from what I can tell, we're still very in for him. I reckon its around a 40% chance we sign him this summer now that Wirtz bailed. I guarantee we'll start seeing the links in the media again soon.

I see Eze as our Grealish replacement on the LW. Slightly worse in some departments, but better around the goal. I believe his contract is running down so the fee won't be crazy. A top English player in his prime. Only complaint we can have is he's not Wirtz.

It's a huge change for both Eze and MGW if they come to us. Both have played in sides that aren't focussed on keeping the ball. I'm concerned because of how things have gone with Grealish. The player that we signed for Villa would be a candidate to replace De Bruyne and give the energy in midfield. But that player disappeared long ago. Villa also played on the counter. I don't think Eze has enough of an all round skillset to thrive at City, whereas I think MGW probably does and is 18 months younger.

I'm still retaining the belief that with better midfielders, Rodri included, we'll be okay in attack as the balance will be better and we'll take more risks with the ball. Salah knows he can lose it because there's cover to win it back high up the pitch. Same thing with Saka and Arsenal. When we lose it we're scrambling because we don't have the legs in midfield to get the ball back before it's in our net.

He's got a £68m release clause.

We don't need a Grealish replacement. Barely plays as is
