I am really confused by the health warning messages coming out from central government.

Firstly they say Ebola is is not very contagious, it cannot be caught via airborne particles, there needs to be bodily fluid contacts for it to spread.

Then we learn a nurse may have contracted it by touching the skin on her face with an under glove she was wearing....

Next we learn the USA Government wants to track all 130 passengers that shared a plane with a passenger that was affected (and knew it) when she took the flight. I can understand why they might wish to do this but that to me says the virus is highly contagious....

Which is it?
why let her fly after treating an ebola victim? surely she should have been monitored for a week or two to make sure
Totally agree... If it had been known, though it is said that she knew she was affected and she also knew that she should not travel. That aside, my question remains.... How easy is it to catch the disease we are definitely getting the message that says it is not very contagious, then the sub-message that illustrates it is very contagious.

So which is it?

it's very contagious if you come into physical contact with it.

You'd have thought they'd have enough sense to not let people from infected areas, especially those in direct contact with the infected fucking fly all over the world. They need to get serious on this and by serious I mean full quarantine. No one in or out I don't care if the people going there are going to help they are just making things worse when they fly home.

Not sure where you are getting the message that it's not very contagious?

It is and everyone knows it. But you do need to have contact with fluids to get it. So passenger sneezes on you: check. Passenger wipes mouth then touches a door handle, you touch door handle: check.
It's that easy.

GD... To me what you describe is highly contagious.

It must be very contagious, because it seems that the slightest touch can lead to infection, I am not overly concerned at the moment, however it just takes a one unrecognised case to lead to it spreading

Saliva, faeces or vomit on an open wound or into mouth/nose/eyes.

The next meet-up is cancelled indefinitely.

The worry is, is that the nurses who caught it were suited and booted so it must have only been the slightest of touches

But apparently they were not suited up correctly.
